I listened and laughed. I was in Coimbra and asked a young college student if he knew where the hostel I was staying at. You're right, he took me all the way to the front door and asked if I needed any other help. I was so surprised. People are helpful, extremely educated on macro economics as well as most speaking 3-4 languages. Pastries are good, food is great, people are nice. I would recommend anyone to go and experience Portugal.

Honestly this video just made me smile, as a Portuguese we often forget about the good things we have because we work hard on everything and hardly get recognized, hell even some Americans think Portugal is a part of Spain, some of our pride comes from everything we've worked for, we didn't take freebies, we built our mary way every step of the way not taking anything for granted it shows in most of the Portuguese people life style. You explained every detail of our lifestyle incredibly accuratly, from getting our daily bread to just chilling with our friends drinking and eating sardinhas. Be sure to come back anytime you want, come experience the middle of Portugal and the inside areas as well, not just the cultural north and the south, some obscure villages in the inside areas can really open your eyes and make you see how beutiful our country really is If you do get feed bacalhau(codfish) whilst being hosted by a Portuguese family, consider yourself lucky and finish the god damn plate, because of our pride if you dont finish the plate we might think that there was something wrong with it and it sucked and we will most likely be sad. We aren't just "Cristiano Ronaldo's country". Nós somos Portugal caralho.

A donut filled with goodness 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 couldn’t agree more, bolas de berlim are heaven! Seeing him talking about my country made me smile a lot! Only Portuguese people can actually see the struggles and the bad sides in living here (that’s true for every native of any country) and we often forget that we have beautiful and good things too. Thank you, obrigado, for making videos like this. It reminded me to always be proud of the little things that makes me a Portuguese 👍🏽🇵🇹♥️

Same, been there done that... So many times! For years now living in Norway. Rarely done it, because here, Human contact is kept to a bare minimum. But on the very rare occasion the opportunity or need came by. I took (drive) someone to the right place. By offering a car ride. The amazement and surprise transpired by the bunch! Usually end with the question - Where are you from? Answered with a flat "Portugal". One of the occasions, it was a woman and I just realized later what probably was on her mind! So I drove her to where she wanted to go. She open the door and walked out and that's it, end of story! But I guess she was suspicious of my "intentions"! LOL 😂 Because here (normally) she would be left in the middle of the road and obliged to walk by herself... But I couldn't leave her on the road under a really nasty snow storm! I simply couldn't. Don't even talk about opening the door to a lady... I've got, at least twice, a few really rude answers. For opening the door!! Yep! I was between shocked and mesmerized! For doing what my father taught me when I was about 10, now over 50! The first time it happened I was "welcomed" with a dry & rude "I've got hands!!" sentence. Yep! I was shocked.

I was shocked when he talked about Brisa. I'm from Madeira and it is amazing. Portugal is Incredible. But So is this gentleman. This was fascinating to watch, he knew every single detailed (I bet the Portuguese people he met wouldn't shut up about it) 😂😂 I guess we are very prideful because we work hard for our glories but they hardly get recognise. Maybe if they did we wouldn't work as hard. But I'm glad he enjoyed Portugal, thank you so much for explaining everything so well. It is so nice to see someone talking so passionately our country. Portugal will be waiting for his return for sure 😊. Next time you go to Madeira go to Pico do Arieiro at 6 to see the stars and the sunrise above the clouds. Also try some Espada Preta, Nikita and Poncha from Câmara De Lobos. I wish you all the best. Much love from Portugal.

Thank you for the video. As a Portuguese guy, I guarantee he saw and learned a lot from our country, and his testimony brings a lot of truth. I hope he comes back and travels more, specially to the north. In the smaller towns, we still have a house lifestyle instead of apartments, and a lot of green space. The humbleness of people here is amazing, even for me, who grew here. Also, we always want to make you eat and drink, or at least have fun and party, and we can't take a no to those requests! Btw, he has a very good Portuguese accent, cheers to that!
