I think Hellagur was once in the same place as Młynar. Betrayed by his country and too stuck in the past to move forward. The difference is that Hellagur learned that even if he cannot think of a better future the younger generation can, so he does everything in his power to support his adopted daughter, the kids from the Azazel clinic and Rhodes Island. Hopefully Młynar also learns this lesson.

Imo he is a good uncle but not the best, he already been in their place (margaret n maria) as a good 'knight' doing justice here n there, and after knowing the truth that kazimierz rotten to the core, he just change his focus to just SURVIVE in the madness while searching for his brother n in law, he is angry that margaret n maria fought for nothing, he just doesn't want his loved one WASTE their time and effort by fighting for something that is already rotten, he appearred as a strict uncle but he just don't want his loved one experienced such disgusting and treated badly by the rotten kazimierz, deeply he just loved them. I know maybe it is not the best way to express ur concern and love but that's what makes Mlynar interesting for me 😊 for short, he is just a TSUNDERE! ❤ He literally showed up in Margaret's tournament, watching along with the pegasus lady (forgot her name ugh sry)

Yeah while he definitely does care for his family (heck that's why he's been searching for Maria's parents for years) he doesn't want them to be drowned in their ideals and wants them to see the reality of the world. In short Uncle's like EMIYA from Fate/Stay Night UBW trying to convince Shirou to face the reality that sticking to his ideal will give him a very hard and unfulfilling life down the line. I find it a bit ironic since Shirou's dad (the reason why Shirou becomes obsessed with his ideal) is voiced by Mlynar's VA.

I have no idea why is he so strict and sharp-edgy towards the nearl sisters. And if you know the Lore by now, those events are in fact rigged by Polish govern. Margaret first event, She won and got disq since She got oriphaty without solid proof in fact! (She isn't!!). Maria is the most brutal since many high order try to get rid of her even gangbang with two sarkaz knight until Margaret came.... And let's not talk about Pinus event...😅

He just a grumpy guy that is very stubborn and not really there to actually teach the sister iirc Mylnar quite opposed the ideal of maria become a knight. He accepted what the sister do, especially maria (and actually quite soft on her as he said she had grown up or in his file after a meet maria cheer up quite a bit) but don't like the fact that nearl cling on her victory title and what it represent cus he already there once (as his song told) and hate it to his core. He also mention the "Nearl" family name alot cus its all on his mind, After all these year only him still wandered for the sister parent (also the habit of reading magazine even if he thing on the road is better) cus for him they aint go down that smoothly, a few compliments for the wife but for his brother there is only "he is my brother" which mean Mylnar know what this guy can do and cant just disappear so he kept searching since then (and if their bloodline mean anything, the guy is strong). Mylnar personality also reflected on his art, just only a tad bit of love and care, everything else is pure anger. he aint here to babysit the kid he is here to kept the family name and slice person involved in his brother missing ( i would love to see an event where this mf toss that calm manner out of the window and slice everything up)

​@@abrahamwijaya6631 Zofia is almost the same age as Maria and Margaret, she's just the aunt because of how the family's structured, so calling her "Elder" is total ass, you'd know this if you read the lore, and Maria will go to the tournament no matter what she said, Zofia didn't even want Maria to compete in the first place, but Maria did not care, so it is best that Zofia equip her with basic training to give her a better chance, effectively being a better guidance than Mlynar could ever be. Zofia is also there willing to jump down and defend Maria from those 2 Sarkaz, while Mlynar is no where to be found, effectively left his niece to death, and you have the audacity to say Mlynar was better than Zofia, when he did not even bother to tell Maria that he worried about her and did not want her to get hurt, that'd have had the highest chance of stopping Maria. Plus, if you had read Margaret's paradox lore, she doesn't like the title "Radiant Knight", but it has been the thing that inspire people to rise up, to have hope, to defend themselves, to move towards a better future, Margaret did not fight for an immediate victory, but fighting for the people's hope, hope that has long been squandered by the complex political situation in Kazimierz, and that hope will lead to a victory, long after Margaret's inevitable end, so yes, she accepts that title, and consider it a victory, Mlynar just does not see it, he is a pessimistic guy that have every hope defeated, yet have the audacity to tell her action stained the family name while he stayed in the office for 10 years doing nothing more than submitting to this new situation. Mlynar doesn't speak fact, he speaks of his own helplessness and then projects that onto others, he brings nothing but mistrust and missguidance, he is not strict, he is just too far down his pessimism to even consider hope, have you seen his thoughts on the doctor's action for the infected? That pretty much sums up his mentality in this current state, Rhodes Island actions are based on hope, fighting for a better future for the infected, no matter how futile and unreachable that might seem.
