For centuries, scholars and commentators have engaged in heated debates over the moral implications of Machiavelli's "The Prince." Some argue that Machiavelli unveils the true essence of power, offering insights to guard against potential tyrants-a potentially positive perspective. Conversely, critics label Machiavelli as a purveyor of evil teachings. However, both these viewpoints fall short in grasping the essence of this text, which defies simplistic moral categorizations of good and evil. Amidst this ongoing debate, a crucial truth embedded in "The Prince" has gone unnoticed. Rather than dwelling on the moral spectrum, this text transcends values of good and evil, for the simple reason that this text describes how moral orders are created. To explain this point I’m going to introduce a novel perspective, I will draw a parallel between Machiavelli's "The Prince" and ancient creation myths.
