I remember the reaction to MW2019. For the entire year, it seemed like everyone was criticizing it-seriously, the hate was everywhere. Reddit was full of posts bashing it, and you could find countless KZbinrs venting their frustrations. Now, though, it’s seen as this gold standard for modern COD. If you enjoy a Call of Duty game, just play it! Don’t let the negativity from others influence your view.

I do agree that the grittiness & more authentic display of war/conflict really made mw19 the best of the rebooted trilogy. I was excited to see where the story would go after with the beginning of tf141 but they bait us with nostalgia. The MP was pretty cool for its time & it’s mainly because of the gunsmith for me. I genuinely don’t believe they have honest play testers there to evaluate the game for the campaign or MP. Things like the footsteps & map sizes & map would’ve been caught. Spec ops flat out failed if you were lucky enough to play it. Warzone I believe is a HUGE NEGATIVE for CoD now since that’s become their cash cow. Had they corrected some flaws in mw19 & continued from there this trilogy could’ve possibly competed with the OG MW Series! 🤷🏾‍♂️

Bruh, playing this game is what I did instead of going to homecoming during my sophomore year of high school since it had just come out that weekend. I didn’t regret that decision then and I sure as shit won’t anytime soon. I loved the gritty campaign, I loved the pseudo realistic feel it had, I loved how smooth the gunplay felt and above all, I love how this game made 2019 that much more special for me. I feel so nostalgic for that particular year that I refuse to delete any video game saves I made that year and if one of the games in my steam library says I last played it in 2019, I’m leaving it untouched

Honestly, MW19 was cool, MWII, I loved the campaign and the Raid. And about MWIII, campaign was okay, but there were interesting things (Yuri, Riley, Takedown, No Russian, Soap's Cliffhanger dialogue, etc)

@@WHITExTRASH101 AQ has better equipment due to the consequences of not properly taking care of Victor Zakheav in Verdansk 🤷‍♂️. These consequences also leads to the losses of Shadow Company contractors who were trying to help the ULF fight off Russian PMC’s and AQ. These consequences also follow in the raid storyline with Hadir being killed for wanting to start a World War with a nuke. So yea there are a lot of consequences that followed from MW2019.

I think for me it had a lot of realism but stayed true to COD in several ways also you sympathized with the characters like Farah who isn’t a modern gaming woman instead she’s a woman who’s jsut fighting to free her country and from the horrors of the Russian military under Barkov, also the voice acting and the characters were top notch from Kate Laswell, Alex Keller, Kyle and more and that while Kyle was a different person than the original MW he felt like a unique and complex person who only wants to help and save others and doesn’t like it when he’s told not to because he wanted to make a difference not stand by and let others get hurt

COD2019 was one of the best FPS games of all times to me. The campaign is amazing and multiplayer is awesome! The combination of nimble movement(arcade style) and one shot kill like in hardcore more is delightful! I would spend 10 years playing this game.

My last modern favorite cod. Game felt so fresh. Felt like putting on a new pair of shoes. Campaign and multiplayer was great. Spec ops was eh but man what a great game it was and nothing comes close.

I think the big thing was that military realism a lot of games try to nail. There’s this huge divide between a game being a milsim that’s hard to learn, with fewer players, and something more arcade-like, like COD. What Infinity Ward did really well was capture that feeling of realistic military ops, weapons, operators, and gear, making it all feel believable. MW2 and 3, though, kind of lost that vibe-only a mission or two really felt that way, but not the whole game. I think they even captured the realism better than the older cods, because you can do more with more powerful hardware and improved engine.

Mw2019 because it had that more serious feeling sort of like world at war, the graphics were amazing and I still believe it looks better than every other cod, mw2 lost their opportunity to make it serious like the first one esp since it’s mostly abt cartels which are one of the most crucial groups in Mexico with dismembering people and executing people, the only disturbing cartel scene we get from mw2 was that one scene with narcomantas which were really censored and that kne interrogation scene where they shoot that one guy in the head

man MW19 was peak coming straight from COD Ghost, Advanced Warfare, Black Ops III, Infinite Warfare, and WWII. While I’m not saying all these games I’ve mentioned are bad, but we can all agree they weren’t as well received as WaW, MW2(2009) and Black Ops 1 and 2. I’ve mostly played single player games throughout my life and it’s usually the campaign I look forward to the most in COD games and man did MW2019 did not fail and it’s definitely one of my favorite campaigns in COD game’s however my only wish is that it were longer as in more missions. I remember the original MW had three acts and it was epic plowing through all those missions, not one was boring or dragged on, for me. Same with MW2(2009), so many epic moments and the replayability is through the roof, especially Wolverines, I still play them to this day. But MW19 was topnotch in terms of it’s maturity and grittiness, I agree with one commenter here, said something about Farah actually feels like a person hardened through war and battles, and it didn’t feel too Hollywoodized unlike it’s sequels I often felt some dialogues felt too cartoony like something out of the MCU, especially MWIII oh man that scene when their all trash talking Shepherd was cringe af. I wish we were in a timeline where that same amount of quality in terms of writing and passion to sticking with the grittiness and mature tone carried over to its sequels, and not some poor excuse to make money shoving out half-baked products. I know most of the people agree that the multiplayer in MWIII is far better than 2019, I haven’t played it for myself yet so i’ll just take your guys’ word on it, but in terms of the Single player campaign, it sucks and it’s painful to go through and there was no weight at all to whatever was going on, it felt like a Spec Ops mission.

I think it was just the change of pace. The cod before modern warfare 2019, black ops 4 was so fastly different than the game after it and since many people have hated the game when it came out many enjoyed mw19 and still do to this very day just because it's very different than bo4. But both games are great in my opinion.

I see this reboot game the same way I see the Robocop reboot. It’s good, it just should have had another name. I’m more of a movie guy, and I only play games with stories worth playing. And if I’m playing another COD game, I’m just playing the campaign. Took me 5 years to play RDR2 when a friend recommended it to me. But I’m aware of the flaws in the campaign, especially when Alex’s “sacrifice” was for nothing because of “Warzone”. Which is annoying because he was my favorite.

One thing I like about MW 2019 is it introducing to me the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus and the Sig P320 which are the M13 and M19 respectively. They're also my go-to weapons which I've even made these guns my book character's guns of choice. For the record, my book character takes cues from The Punisher and Fallout and was in the Calivadan Army Rangers for six years. Which in this post-apocalyptic world where California and Nevada has become one country, Sig Sauer firearms like the Virtus, the P320, and the Spear are the guns of choice with police and military.

I think infinity ward was trying to recreate rainbow six patriots with the campaign, the bomb vest scene from Piccadilly was ripped straight from the trailer and it had heavy emphasis on room clearing. It’s one of my favorite campaigns to replay but I think the multiplayer’s been invalidated by MWII, MW2019 just feels primitive in comparison. Sad to see that MWIII didn’t do anything good in comparison to the first 2.

Everything about people complaining in MP just to me always been Skill Issues (do Understand certain Dark Area/Windows). 2019 Felt like OG CoD and by far more Enjoyable than Warzone & Newer CoDs (if u take away Cheaters Problem) Edit: 11:35 years that Ruined MP afterwords (still to this day) 11:38 CoD didnt need Warzone to stay “Relevant” since its been Top Seller for Years and would been doing Fine without Warzone 11:45 More like a Confusing Mess of the Storyline 11:50 maybe because one was Better Experience (Paid) while other was just meh (Free)

Since MW2019 i feel that every COD that came after was a lesser version, Cold war was ok but not good enough, but at least it was a good Treyarch COD, Vanguard was trash, MW2 was decent but never reached what MW2019 did, MW3 was pretty bad too, but better than Vanguard, and since then this new BO6 feels empty, dumb down, Zombies is cool but that is the best I can give it, multiplayer is literal brain rot for kids, and with great games like Stalker 2 I don't see a reason to play COD anymore, unless they release a new MW2019 that set a new standard, I am not interested in playing camo grind simulator.

Highly overrated game with trash maps. The time to kill is hilarious and the maps do nothing but inspire camping. Hell, there is less camping in MWII. WII and Cold War are tons more fun than this. MW inspired an entire community to invest in a headset and wait around for someone to pass by so they can shoot him in the back. The campaigns for MW and MWII are definitely worth playing back to back tho. Also.. no zombies mode and trying to install the game on console is completely broken mess.
