If you all have access to computers you can discord/video call each other and use a website called Roll20. Roll20 is a free virtual tabletop designed specifically for D&D, pathfinder etc. Me and my friends live all over the world and can play weekly thanks to the website.

I think DnD artists from all walks of life would think of this, especially with female characters (and before you yell at me, I know Alex is gay, he's mentioned/implied it a few times in the past, shut up) and especially with classes that wouldn't be heavily armored, such as barbarians, bards, sorcerers, warlocks, monks, druids, hell, even rogues and wizards. And yes, I've seen sexualized artwork from WotC (or just something in relation to the class) for female rogues and wizards.

Composition is amazing, but I never took it seriously until I saw the cover of Fire Emblem Awakening. The artwork shows all the characters charging and pointing their weapons in the same direction, symbolizing fighting similar goals. All except one person: Lucina, who’s facing the exact opposite direction. This symbolizes that her goals coincide with the rest of the party, but her focus is on a new enemy entirely, letting people know that there is more than meets the eye. Finally, the best part, was looking back at the artwork the second time and realizing that Kellam, the fully armored tank who has the weird knack of never being noticed by anyone, was in the artwork the whole time, unnoticed in the background. Gotta love how composition tells you so much about the characters and story in general simply on how they are positioned! Thank you for talking about it!

Ah this is so amazing!! Your art style is one of my favorites of all the artists I follow, and it's hugely inspirational to someone like me just trying to wiggle my way into the art community.
