It’s ironic that the Pikmin series went out of its way to release every mainline game on the switch before Pikmin 4 so new fans could catch up on the story only for Pikmin 4 to completely retcon the entire series for literally no reason. I have a lot of beef with Pikmin 4💀

@@Jacks_game_room I feel the exact same way! And I don’t even have nostalgia for any of the games since I played them all for the very first time in preparation for the fourth game. I think Pikmin 1 and 3 are absolutely masterpieces. Pikmin 2 I do like but I am not nearly as big of a fan of. I like hey pikmin more then pikmin 2. Pikmin 4 really feels like it’s missing all of that pikmin magic all of the other games in the series have Honestly I don’t think I like pikmin 4. Which is crazy to say since I love the series. I am a very new pikmin fan. Like I said I played all the games for the first time in preparation for 4. When I played pikmin 4 for the first time it was fun and it’s definitely a good game but something about it never felt right to me and over time I’ve come to realize that I don’t really like it. It retcons the entire series for absolutely no reason, the gameplay is more focused on a dog then the actual pikmin, instead of an actual night mode like everybody wanted we got a protect the tower mini game, caves are back and they’re still not very good and they don’t even have unique bosses at the end of all of them anymore, the game is painfully easy, the characters never shut the fuck up even during gameplay, instead of feeling like you’re exploring a postapocalypse earth it feels like you’re exploring somebody’s house while they’re on vacation, it shoves dandori battles into the main game when it should’ve just been a side mode like in the previous games, many of the pikmin types are barely even used throughout the game which makes me question why they’re even there, none of the enemies in the overworld respond after you kill them so the world feels Barren and dull and there is no day limit so the day night system is completely pointless and all it does is force you to stop playing for a few minutes for no reason. That’s not even all of my complaints though. I still have more but I think you get the point. I keep hearing people say that pikmin 4 is the perfect pikmin game and the best in the entire series, but I don’t understand that at all and I know it’s not nostalgia making me feel this way because I played all of the games for the first time back to back. Pikmin 4 is not a bad game. I definitely had fun playing it, but I feel like it’s missing so much of that pikmin charm and magic is in every other game in the series. I’m sure that makes me sound like a Satanist to some pikmin fans but that’s just how I feel

Pikmin 4 weirdly capitalizes on nostalgia for the previous games, yet doesn’t understand why we like them. The puffstool is back but doesn’t make puffmin, the entire reason people liked it. People always they wanted to fight the smoky progg with whites since white Pikmin are poison resistant, but they went out of their way to make the smoky progg and completely different type of poison. Let’s make Louie a villain like Pikmin 2, but by retconing the whole series you remove any motivation for him to be a villain. Like I hate to complain about the game I waited for years but at some point I think you can make genuine critiques of a game even if fans are lucky to have it. Also the graphics are WAY worse than 3 and 3 came out of the Wii U 💀

PAC-MAN 2 was never a sequel, that was only a localization name. The Japanese version is called "Hello, PAC-MAN". Also Miis are still in Switch Sports, I’m tired of everyone ignoring the fact.
