My string journey has been long and spread across all brands. I ended up going back to the first strings I bought which was yoyo stringlab Plutonium. Very good but sometimes too thick fir some throws. Sochi fat is also really good

Heya, I've been making strings for the past few months using all kinds of fibers including poly, nylon, linen and silk. From my experience, silk strings are by far the best in terms of consistency and whippiness. The strings don't fray after weeks of use, so they play consistent just like when you first started using them after months. The string is whippier than any poly/nylon/hybrid string I've ever used. Also the strings are way easier to bind, so thinner string while whippier than thicker poly string, bind equally as good. So basically, you can get normal thickness silk string that will bind better than thick/xl poly string, while whipping better/faster and not snagging at all because they're thin. I highly recommend you trying out silk strings. I'm seriously considering making batches and sending them out to reviewers cause I seriously think people are missing out by limiting their fiber options to mostly poly/nylon.

Hey Brandon i recently ordered 100 pro yo-yo strings from your website. The string really only holds its tension for roughly 40min of playtime. Should it be lasting longer or is there any maintenance I have to do to it?

Good yo-yo string really enhances a yo-yo, think of it like a Prius with a Lamborghini engine

Bearing, pads, and string make a seriously huge difference. The true performance capabilities of a budget yoyo, such as MYY Node or Hertz, really comes out with a good bearing and pads installed.

I just about had it with a practice session when I bothered to switch out the string (I switched the string a few days before but I put about 6 hours on it). Difference was night and day and it kept me from putting it down and doing something else. That was my daily driver but on my other yoyos I don't like switching out the strings because I rarely use them so I have one that's super worn out and you can tell it just slips on the response system. Buying bulk string will help you switch out more often as well. Before I was buying 10 packs and felt the need to conserve but the $30 youll spend on a 100 pack will be worth it.

Wow going pretty deep into it here Imma have to carefully pay attention next time I yoyo cuz I never really noticed a difference with strings excepts some are softer even when I yoyoed everyday for hours a single string would last me for so long when it got grimey I just washed it off (in my opinion the strings were always better after the first wash)

A really beat string can even make intermediate tricks like cold fusion and skin the gerbil tuff bc it’s so sticky it grips your fingers and starts like half a bind and kill the spin

Funny, iv been trying learn the suicide for the last couple of days and getting the bastard loop to open up is proper hard iv landed it several times but no where near consistently. 1st slack trick I learnt was Man and the flying trapeze and his bither slack trick and that's easy as cause I can consistently do the set up, once I land the trick I just kinda drop it though and do a basic bind. I'm such a noob lol but am loving re discovering the yoyo. Edit, also iv burnt through 1 sting in like a week and half its all frayed and shitty already. When will offset yoyo's have a face to face shop, even a pop up would awesome so we can meet you and support you in person!?

something that helped me was to not throw it as high and not so fast. the slower, the better when you are learning. i actually learned this quick so quickly and suck learning anything else lol

To answer your first question: not really, stretching your string just happens over time and I find it wears out the string faster if you do it as soon as you get a fresh string. Yoyoers have yoyo habits if you do it you just do it. To answer your second question: B grades are often found at b grade sales which are random for most companies alternatively you can hit up representatives or just the company themselves through email, social media or websites I recommend getting an outlier from Facebook if you can find one on the bst

Just started yo yo ing. Do i need a thicker string so it stops getting stuck under the bearing? The bearing itself has an indent for the string to stay centered. But it still manages to slide to the edge and gets pull in on the throw. Maybe my throw is still bad or tension is too loose or tight. Idk. Would appreciate some feedback. Yoyo is magicyoyo n12
