One of the most information packed videos I have seen on the Supra. the material breakdown of parts was of particular interest for me. Excellent job. No whining about the BMW thing (refreshing) just focused on what the car is. I would buy it even if it was an Edsel collaboration ...

I think when you are that close to a project, it's hard to take a step back and see the details as we, the enthusiast public, will see them. I'm just a big car nerd, so I geek out when I see cool stuff.

@@danielwalker7479 Have you seen the release that came out on Thursday? 2021 gets a pretty significant HP boost. Different pistons, exhaust manifold, and tune.

Probably becuse hes Japanese and there is a language barrier even know he speaks English it dose not all translate perfect Enough in the interview you could tell he had a hard time trying to speak on English what he was trying to get at

Where do you get the Vin Code?? I'm assuming since you said yours was only a 2-digit #, it's different from the VIN Number?

It's the addition of your last 5 digits of your VIN. You can see your VIN # on the corner of the windshield or at the door jam.

@@solguerrero689 As long as you aren't 90% torso, it shouldn't be a problem. I like to lean back pretty far too, I never got into the bar.

330HP 2020. BMPRA STILL IN COLDMA IN THE 1998. TODAY SPORTS CARS ARE IN 700HP TO 1000HP STOCK. TOP SPEED 190MPH TO 220MPH.

Waiting to see what the new Nissan Z brings to the table. Hopefully they learn from the mistakes Acura/Toyota made with the NSX/Supra. I wanted to purchase this vehicle when the FT-1 was 1st introduced. However, the production is far from what I thought was going to be the next gen Supra.

I'm just happy there are new sports cars coming out. Supra is my favorite so far, because it's attainable for way more people, and aligns much closer to what the older cars were.

Actually most of the dyno videos of this car in its stock form i've seen are right around where they claim it to be from factory so im not exactly sure where that whole notion is coming from. Look at most of the stock dyno videos and you rarely see any of them past 340 whp. thats only a couple hp beyond what the manufacture claimed. it is always good when you get a better output than even what manufacture says. but at the same time its so minimal its nothing to really even mention or put any focus on. It would be a big deal if it was like 10-20 whp more than what they claimed but when you're talking 3-5 whp its nothing to be jumping about. The one that does raise my curiosity is the euro spec ones which some have claimed to get nearly 380 whp. Or im not sure if they are just using the BHP rating to get attention. Its a cool car though theres no doubt about it.

Probably depends on the type of dyno used, the numbers can vary pretty significantly. Also consider that the HP rating from the factory will be crank horsepower, whereas the rating on a chassis dyno is WHP. So even if the number is the same, it's about 15% higher than the stock figure.

There's a fail in your theory. Bmw announced 335Bhp, not Whp. So it was a good surprise when people took the car to dynos and it made 40 bhp more than claimed.

WHP is not BHP. BHP is what manufacturers list their cars at, the last time I checked.

Sorry to disappoint you but this car has heat issue in the track .. can't complete one single hot lap without the car going into safe mode (limp mode, cutting power). Ambient temperature was around mid to low 30c

Sounds like you were having some other problem. Are you familiar with the Supra Grassroots program Toyota is doing? They bring two Supras to NASA HPDE events across the country, and give ride alongs all day, in every session, for two days at a time. I'm one of the drivers for this program, so I can tell you first hand, that there are no heating issues (or any other issues, for that matter.) The cars are entirely stock except for tires and brake pads.

I know this is harped on a thousand times over but it really is a shame it doesn't have a manual option. BMW has such a solid manual transmission, it would have been perfect in this car.

It's got most of the right bits. I was a little sad to see the front struts, the MK3 and MK4 were both dual arm design. Even so, after driving it...it's really really good.

Definitely agree on the transmission, I want a third pedal very badly. The engine is already excellent, I have no complaints there. It already outruns an M2 Comp at Laguna.

I HOPE THAT BMPRA 20years INTO THE FUTURE BMPRA WILL HAVE 800HP TO 1000HP V8 TWIN TURBO. DO 210MPH TOP SPEED STOCK. PRICE 80K TO 110K. WE THE COSTOMES WILL BUY.

Lord Scolipede The 1JZ & more specifically the 2JZ-GTE is what made the Supra, a Supra. This is a BMW. I love the exterior, but I see a Toyota engine in the near future.

@@jasonhunt2909 I know man. I agree. The A40, A50, A60, all non 1J A70s, the A90, the Top Secret Supra, and the Tom Castrol Supra aren't real Supras. Oh, I almost forgot, the naturally aspirated A80s also aren't real Supras because they're powered by the 2JZ-GE, not by the omnipotent god mode 2JZ-GTE that is literally the best engine ever made as long as you ignore the fact that the main reason the engine was so bulletproof also made the car more front heavy than a one legged T-Rex and therefore basically unuseable in any competitive setting that wasn't drifting or drag racing. Obviously the Supra isnt defined by the vast aftermarket support, or the fact that, despite the fat ass engine, the thing was still one of the best handling car off the track and on the street, or the timeless design. No, it was just some heavy ass engine that *could* (but usually doesnt) make meme worthy horsepower numbers.
