YES! Everything about Euphoria was ambitious. The acting, music, character depth, relatable and relevant topics covered. And of course the whole look of it; colors, camera work, clothes and makeup. Absolutely fantastic, dark and gritty, can’t wait for season 2.

I got to say Euphoria is the most accurate representation of what Gen Z adults in college are like or represents what they go through. It tackles toxic masculinity, internalized homophobia, toxic relationships, drug use, addiction, sex, nudes, child pornography, depression/mental health, porn viewing, etc. Although I can say that it is a bit dramatic, but what else can you expect from a tv show by HBO. Either way can't wait for season 2! Things I would like to see and things I would like to be talked about talk about in Season 2 are.... -Eating Disorders/ Body Image -STD's and STI's -School Shootings or just shootings in general( Especially since they live in America) -Peer pressure -School Fights( a lot of those happen) -New Characters( preferably darkskin girls or more POC)[not trying to sound negative] -More talk about Social Media and How it can damage a person's self esteem. ***By the way I love the video and you have a new subsciber😊***

I think that obviously in some parts of the show they display these themes in a really graphic and almost unrealistic manner but I think above all this helps hone in the message of the show, which really sticks with you. Also YES, this show is pretty “diverse”(whatever that even means) compared to many other teen shows since this is such an unfortunately white dominated genre, but I would love for there to be more representation for darkskin girls, latinx, and Asian communities because I really think this show has the power and passion behind it to really be the forefront in terms of poc representation in TV. That’d be so amazing to see.

I think there is diversity in the show like there is POC in the show, the main character is back, McKay is black, and for Latinos there is Maddie and her family. They shouldn’t just add characters for race but for personality in the show. But I feel like they are doing really well compared to other shows diversity wise.

This is so well done. Both you and the show. You managed to take out all the thoughts I’ve had on the show, and lay them all out in the form of a video essay. You explained it perfectly and your voice is so soothing. The show is also so good and I love the character studying in the show and that we can see ourselves represented through many of the different characters. It’s an honest reflection of teen life, better than other teen shows I’ve seen. It’s sad that a lot of people just watch this show for the makeup and aesthetic, while the show itself is also very underrated.

I loved the show. My friend recommended it to me because fezco reminded her of me.i look like him lol and I was a burnout heroin addict in high school so I really relate to this show. Like, REALLY relate. Almost every person in the show reminds me of someone I grew up with. We were really fucked up, drug addict or not.

I know this was a while ago . I am glad u showed some recognition to mckay because I think he is way too overhated. I understand why fans say they dont care about him because the writer wrote him like he did not matter. Some say mckay was worse than nate and Daniel wtf?????Mckay was not perfect but that will always confuse and disturb me. I feel like he was the most underwritten compared to everyone else. He got an episode and still felt like a background character. He was the token black stereotypical jock with the weakest storyline and development who was more of a plot device for cassie than a character. I think his story can be interesting but the writer chose the least interesting aspect to somewhat explore: football instead of being black in a nearly all white town, his frat, his relationship with family. Where was his mom?, his friendship with nate, why he let people influence him, how toxic masculinity affects him and young men in general. Hell even his sexual assault( dry humping) was not explored. The writer completely downplayed it and shifted the focus to cassie instead of exploring his mental health and trauma which I am shocked that no one is mentioning and how they used the black male lead as a plot device for a white character and nothing more. They presented mckay in a one dimensional way I feel. His episode was more about cassie than it was about him

Exactly! I think he was so overlooked despite having a (in my opinion) just as equally interesting story as characters like Nate. I do hope McKay gets a little more attention in the second season, which I do think is something is very possible. They laid out some very interesting back story and furthermore character points that could occur with him but for now you’re totally correct he is a very one dimensional character. I’m excited to see if they take him further or remain focused on mainly rue/Jules/Nate/Cassie

@@Maddievtheworld I hope so too. But I feel like Sam Levinson loves to do these men are trash and women are misunderstood victims narrative. If u noticed every guy is either one dimensional( Ethan , mckay , Jules dad, fez and even ail well until the bridge episode or a complete monster ( nate, cal, Daniel , mckay brothers.) And most of the women are all victimized and emphasis is put that victimization. I personally don't see this as a flaw, just something i noticed. After watching Sam mew film, malcolm and Marie, after watching that movie which I enjoyed. I notice that as talented as sam is, he has trouble writing black characters. Assassin nation had a token black guy too. If u don't remember him I would not blame you. I hope mckay gets a better storyline tho. In s1, mckay didnt get a story, arc or development and he received a whole episode that was a glorified Cassie episode. I love euphoria but I feel like the lack of diversity in the writer room will be noticeable in s2.

Personally I think the show is really bad. The characters are all brain dead. The glamorization of drug abuse and mental illness is really messed up and disgusting as someone who deals with that. it’s just shallow and immature for people who want to feel deep and dramatic.

I loved this version of a coming of age show because it wasn’t “normal” but it was. Their personalities are explored and it goes deeper with a darker feel. The only other show I’ve seen go through this is Degrassi. Although Degrassi was more family friendly and light hearted, I’ve never seen another show cover topics that they (Euphoria and Degrassi) covered.

The show is a bullsit cartoonist depiction of teen life that's used as a negative tool to program kids and make them feel insecure about the fact they aren't leading destructive over dramatized lives. It's just a emphasized, more horribly written version of any teen movie from the early 2000's put into episodic form 😂

To be completely fair this video was made after season 1 and I do stand by most claims made. Unfortunately I do have to agree that the second season really showed its true colors which are not good! The lack of cohesive plot or character development truly showed that the show has fallen down the hole of valuing only style over substance indeed!

i dont think she is horrible but i think she is detrimental to rue's growth in a way. rue is attached to her in such an unhelathy way and needs to want to get better for herself not jules. i noticed something was off when jules asked rue to kiss her at the dance and she hesitated because of what jules had did prior. im glad rue didnt end up doing it and let jules know that at the time they weren't exactly cool cool. i also think jules leaving was very selfish.
