Hot take but when JID retires he will be top 5 all time. Its rare, like insanely rare to see an artist at these levels only in their 3rd album whilst also never missing on features. Like look at every top 10-15 rapper and every single one of themselves career started off like JIDs is. I hope that you're right with The Forever Story being a part of something bigger. Tis album is my favourite of this year. I always believed in JID's potential as an artist since 2018, not just s rapper. Kody Blu 31 is my favourite track off the album. The singing is so smooth 🥺 Beautiful analysis bro. Album of the year. For a majority of the year I thought it was going to be melt my eyez, but I think I give the edge to forever story now. Kendrick fucking dropped. Denzel dropped. Saba dropped. Logic. Black thought. Westside boogie. Joey. Smino (luv 4 rent is my favorite album of the year, but Forever story is just a better overall album). It does suck tho that JID doesn’t sell like his peers, though. DiCaprio 2 sold like 17K first week, The Forever Story sold 30K. Compare that to someone like Lil Baby whose last album sold 216K or Gunna who sold 150K. I could go on and on. But if people really enjoy this kinda music as much as they claim to, they need to stream it more. Denzel Curry only pushed 15K this year. That sucks, man. Y’all fans need to do better to support these artists.
