What makes Lufthansa's new livery so great

Lufthansa's new livery has been controversial to say the least. It's an extreme departure from the previous livery (which lasted nearly 30 years), and many feel that the new design is not a proper evolution of the brand. I disagree, and I explain my reasons in this video.
Follow along as I show you how I illustrated a Lufthansa A350-900 from start to finish using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Total time that it took was about 30 minutes.

The Lufthansa font on the new livery is slightly different. The letters are slightly thinner.

I've seen the new livery plenty of times and I much prefer the original livery with yellow on the tail. Yellow is the colour of Germany and the Hanseatic tradition, it was very sad to ditch that important part of German identity. The new livery looks like a copy of other airlines' livery, including Aer Lingus. I understand they didn't want to be mistaken for another Irish airline with a yellow harp on the tail. They didn't need to. One of the best sights in the skies is the Lufthansa Boeing 747 in the original livery. Long may it remain!

The old livery looks great on the 330, 340s, and 747s. Not a fan of the new one on them though…

Really nice picture at 08:40. As Philip Maret already said, the Welcome Panel is missing. And..., you used the old crane logo on the tail. There're some differences between the old crane and the new crane logo. There're small, but you can see them. I don't like the new look Lufthansa very much. The livery is a little too plain and unimaginative. Reminds me also of TAROM's livery
