I like Matas Buzelis . I did a full breakdown on him . His potential is through the roof. Once he gets his shooting down he’s going to be really good. I love most about him is his mentality . He’s focused on being great .

Id like to see some content about the lineup and how yall would run it. I think (assuming no big trades happen), the starting 5 should be Coby, Lavine, Giddey, Pat, and Vuc, with Dosunmu at 6th man, and Buzelis, Lonzo, and Duarte getting most of the other minutes, and that dude from the Pacers playing backup center.
@chicagobullsallday2 ай бұрын
I like the idea . We’re a little over a month away from training camp so it’s a good time to break that down . I’ll get to work on my end to release that video soon

Good call on the lineup. But, if that’s what we run with it’s a recipe to be on the outskirts of the lottery while not developing our younger players. Lavine and Vooch need to go.
@chicagobullsallday2 ай бұрын
@@angeltorres4089 I am curious to see if lavine can buy into a role he had when Lonzo was healthy. Giddey and ball running the show can unlock things . I agree though keep Zach will take away from development

With Giddy running the show offensively, P Will should have his best season by far. Buzelis should be top 3 for ROTY if Billy gives him the minutes necessary to do so.

Matas has an attitude and drive that bulls fans haven't seen since probably MJ. Hope he becomes a star in the league.

I would say since Jimmy Butler. Rose had drive and attitude as well, he was just very humble and not cocky with it

Would love content on what we think is the ceiling for Bulls young players even in the best scenario for: Buzelis, Dosumnu, Philips, Terry, Williams, Giddey, and Smith in the best scenario. I personally believe mindset is key alongside w/ talent. Coaching def makes a difference but most players on various teams have to learn to adapt w/ their minutes, positions etc… Great example is Coby White & how he improved under Billy Donovan coaching. Personally believe Buzelis maybe AKME best pick w/ Bulls bc he seems to have the right mindset & has a good skillset. I’m interested to see which player can thrive despite not being in best rotation & preference of play time, etc... Because there is no guarantee that all these players will improve much w/ a better coach especially when u look at teams such as Pistons, Hawks, and Suns, etc… who changed coaches recently & did not rly improve.

I hope Billy plays him enough to develop. He needs time early and often in the rotation.
@detroit0232 ай бұрын
Billy has never had issues playing rookies off the bat especially who aren’t passive & actually have a skillset. Example Ayo Dosumnu played good minutes as a rookie as the PG when Lonzo went down. Utilized P.Will even though he’s been passive. Buzelis should def get play time since he’s aggressive & talented of course concern is to figure out who meshes well despite the front office not drafting or trading for the right players. Simonovic is the best example of that since he no longer is in NBA.
@DI-VINE8132 ай бұрын
@@detroit023 true but there are also players like Bitum and Senogo and Julian Phillips who are not getting enough time to develop in the NBA Game. Obviously Billy prefers guards so we will see. Just because he will get some time doesn’t mean it will be enough for him to make an impact and develop.

I love the pickup with Matas, and i can be patient with a player like him, who seems active on both sides... I just have to gain some trust in his HC

I liked Donovan at Florida but hasn’t really been doing it for me in the NBA
@detroit0232 ай бұрын
I got more trust in Donovan than AKME bc at least Donovan has shown us that if you give him the right players even w/ lacking a solid PF that he can get us a top seed like he did last time Lonzo played. Not to mention Coby White improving when Lavine was injured last season which to me that shows this team doesn’t have the best cohesion & im not surprised when I see look at AKME 2020 Draft Picks ( Williams & Simonovic - no longer in NBA ). I could go on & on about other mistakes AKME has done but changing the coach isn’t gonna make much of a difference if we don’t have the right players. Bulls have a history of getting new coaches since Jordan era but we don’t have too many years besides D.Rose in his prime era of picking the right players 💯 I btw do have faith in Matas as well bc I love his mindset 💯

@@detroit023 no…. Williams is still here that’s one and two…. Why it take Billy SOOOOOO LONG to put Coby in the starting PG role? He’s been there the entire time Zo was out why it take him so long???? Why did he take a HOT Coby out in the play in versus Miami a couple years ago when he and Drummond helped us get back in the game?? You can not like AKME for sticking with what they expected to win cool but they have given Billy what he needs or made sure he had it the next yr… How bout when we all said WE NEED REBOUNDING the year Zo got hurt… AKME went out that offszn and got Drummond…. Billy out there playing DJJ at center… I know Drum has some mental and shoulder issues at times but the times I’m talking about are when Drum was actually suited up and on the bench Billy has to go and I don’t mind Zach being mad about him still being here… Billy still running the same plays that DONT call for any back picks or any motions Trust me you can talk about AKME all day… and that’s cool I will wait that day out and talk about BILLY all YEAR

@@LockedOnBulls If Coach playing Giddy and ball together, you can bet Zo playing the 3 and Matas playing the 3 off the bench. Really that's the best position for both in their current state. Once you look @ Vucevic as the odd man out, or becoming that passing big off the bench(conditionally) you'll realize different. & we got a lot of power. That 9-10 man rotation... I agree depending on Lonzos minutes we will see more or less from players like Matas Dalen and Phillips because how Billy uses his lineups. I don’t see Matas starting though. Lonzo makes a big difference on the impact of the minutes from the other guys, hopefully Zo comes back healthy it’s a good problem to have if he is.

The whole "rebuild" term is stupid as this is pro basketball and teams just need to hit on a star player to be contenders. Matas might be that hit for the bulls if he's given a chance.
