Good breakdown bro. Like fr fr. There were casuals talkin about how bad he played that game and the throws he missed. But he literally never practiced wit the starters all year. I wuz cool wit the misses. Cuz he wuz missing high and long. Aka not puttin the ball in jeopardy. He wuz calm. Making the right reads. Hes a real pocket passer. His ability to look off safetys till the last second then deliver a strike is special. And not to mention he corrected those high throws literally the very next game. Crazy arm strength too. Like Elway level

@ This is just the beginning. People don’t understand the starter gets 90% of the reps at practice. What Penix showed us proved the future is bright. After a full offseason and camp as a starter I’ll be expecting big things next season.

It’s still early but Penix has performed as expected through his first few starts. The lefty has shown the same accuracy and precision he displayed in college which is exactly what the Falcons need. By allowing the opportunity to sit and learn it seems Penix may actually be ahead of other rookies who were thrown into the fire this season with the exception of Jayden Daniels.

Ya definitely believe he has the talent to become an all pro, his arm is obviously the first thing you notice. Other Qbs like Allen, Lamar have rocket arms, I dont know if it's MP unique delivery but ppl are gonna come to see this kid throw to see him make highlight passes, he still has alot to learn while they show positive plays ,hes also made just as many bad plays but that's understandable, the other thing about Mike is you can already see guys favor him over Kirk, he's a natural leader and guys are simply gonna play harder for him, he's got great weapons a very solid line so I expect a good year from him next season, Rookie Qbs are proving they can come in and play extremely well from the get go see Jayden/ Nix . The other thing is staying healthy MP has had 2 bad injuries although it was at Indiana and he overcame both only to be a star at Washington , Everything points to him being successful im really looking forward to watch him next year, Atlanta fixes that Defense then they should be at the very least a playoff team next year

London made positive strides this season. I think the addition of McCloud and Mooney helped with that as well. I like where his progression is headed. I’m still waiting on Pitts to show me something.

Them drafting Penix might have saved Rahs job. This season would feel alot different if we only had Kirk and would be doing a QB search

Awesome breakdown, man. We got a real one. Penix is a dog, and our offense should be even better and extremely fun to watch. As a rookie, with 3 whole games under his belt, he has a calmness, poise, and the knowledge of a high level vet. One of the few young QBs that didn't stare down WRs at all. Way ahead of his rookie label. Not to mention mobility and a rocket for an arm. Just gotta say one thing: you can't dog on Pitts for that play (which was quite a bit of contact and a tough catch), and then not give him props for catching that td. Cmon now, man. My view on Pitts is most of it isn't on him. 2022-23 was a horrible play caller with some bad QB play. This year, he just wasn't used enough (nowhere near a high enough snap percentage) and wasn't targeted enough. Even when open. He had a 3 and a half game stretch that showed what he's capable of, with a monster first half against the Bucs, and then Zac Robinson was like "Nah, we're not gonna use you as much anymore the rest of the year." Unless that was partially on Kirk. Either way, Robinson needs to have him in on 90% of the snaps next season. I already can't wait for next season lol. But I don't want to rush time.

The throw to Pitts should have been a lil higher an take a little some of that zip off of it an that would have been a completion the ball placement was almost on point

Idea...move Pitts to WR. He can't block thus he doesn't get most rep lately. I think he could be the replacement to McCloud if we don't resign him. He could be a solid 1B /2A to London /Mooney. Let Charlie Woerner start. He blocks far better!
@LegitJonex
@LegitJonex 20 күн бұрын
I hope they bring back McCloud. I think Pitts would be best used detached from the line. idk how much success he would have getting open against DBs but it would be a better fit than his current usage.
@shawn1819
@shawn1819 18 күн бұрын
My thing wit Pitts is that they barley use him all game. Want him to block non stop. Which is tiring. Hes not that big of a TE. Then wen its crunch time they wana draw somethin up for him wen he's not in rhythm and tired which means he's not guna get good separation. They need to get him goin ealier next year

That was not holding. He played that perfectly. Defensive Lineman act all the time. He blocked, the guy went down on purpose, and he let him back up and kept blocking.

He needs to scramble more. That pocket passing play style ain't it. Sometimes nothing is open and you gotta tuck the ball and run. The most successful QB's in the league all wont hesitate to run the ball if they got space.
@ZaySuave
@ZaySuave 18 күн бұрын
Wrong. The best QB’s of all time were pocket passers. Most scrambling QB’s don’t win Super Bowls. Mahomes is the only QB in history who is well rounded in both, while still being a winner. I’d rather have Joe burrows play style on my team, then Lamar jackson
@LegitJonex
@LegitJonex 16 күн бұрын
@ He’s not a scrambling QB he’s a precision pocket passer. He has the ability to escape when he’s in a jam but don’t expect for him to start running.

Not sure what you were watching bro he was sharp in every game. It took him a couple drives to get into a groove and He had drops in the first game but he performed well in all 3 starts. While continuing to get more and more comfortable.

@ No way you honestly watched Penix play in the last 3 games and said he’s not the guy. But hey if you did let’s play the game, Ok so what do you suggest the Falcons do at QB?
@mikeyy425
@mikeyy425 16 күн бұрын
@ i did, thats how i know. People who watch highlights would think everything is great. I seen the overthrows, the under throws, i seen the Coaches relying heavily on the run game because they know hes not ready, only throwing when they have to on 3rd down. Yall only remember the one dime he drops out of ten. Giants gane, scored 34 points, he accounted for zero. Washington game, he accounted for one TD at the very last min of the game. Missed wide open mooney which made a non kicker try to kick a winning fg. You seen those to, just dont wanna acknowledge it
@LegitJonex
@LegitJonex 16 күн бұрын
@mikeyy425 you just proved you’re a hater. The flow of the Giants game didn’t call for Penix to put up crazy points the defense scored 2 touchdowns. Amazing how you didn’t want to acknowledge that lol he had a few dropped passes that game as well one of which should have been a touchdown that was on the money to Pitts (which resulted in an INT). And this was his first start ever. Like I said before I’m not sure what you are watching. In all 3 of Penix starts he showed he knew where to go with the ball and the ball was delivered with pace. Any franchise in the league would want their rookie QB first three starts to be similar. If this is your team you might need to find another one. You probably hated Matt Ryan too.
