Steve, you're so right about Neal Schon. I may be biased because Journey is my favorite band but if you dissect his entire body of work, you can't deny he's like Hendrix and Clapton in one. He's one of the very best ever.

One of my biggest playing influences. Everyone knows his 'Journey' stuff, maybe even his 'Hardline' stuff, and perhaps his 'Bad English' stuff, but some of my favorite records of his are his instrumental records, which are incredible too. Look up titles like 'Late Nite', 'Voice', 'Abraxis Pool' and a couple he recorded for 'Higher Octave', which is a new age label. If you're a guitarist who loves both melodic shred and tasty ballads and new age flavored stuff, there's a lot there to discover!

Steve, Neal is a great guitarist, but certainly NO legend! Jimmy Page is a legend, Jeff Beck is a legend, Eric Clapton is a legend, Neal is not in their league, simple!
