I adopted an orange kitten two months ago as an ESA, and we already have such a *strong bond* . He's my shadow. Wherever I go, he's right behind me. He knows when I'm depressed, and he shows me so much TLC. If not for him, I wouldn't be here. I push on for him. He's my baby, my everything, and I will never leave him. He makes me feel so loved. 🥰🥰

I've had many cats in my life. One of my current cats is an orange boy who is, without a doubt, the sweetest cat I've ever had. He's the cat daddy. He always welcomes in new cats - while all the others either hiss or hide. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He's 9yrs old now and going in for surgery next week. I'm not sure what will happen to my dog and 4 other cats if something should happen to the little orange man. He's everyone's favorite. I will say that as far as intelligence goes, he's not the brightest bulb in the chandelier lol. So, he does seem to fit the stereotypes. Hope he can be with my family for more yrs to come. We love the little guy as much as he loves all of us. Update: Fred, the little orange dude, got thru his surgery and is doing well.

My grandma had an orange cat that lived around 25 years... To be fair he was looking his age 😅 named Tigger. By the time I got out of college I just assumed he'd live forever 😂

My gf and i took in an orange stray back in december. She literally walked in through our dog door. She is the swertest, most affectionate cat ive ever met. Shes less than a year old and spent most if not all of her infancy as a feral. After taking her to our local vet, shes become a favorite due to her friendlyness. Orange kitties are built different.

I just adopted an orange kitten to keep my Turkish van company since I work a lot. He is a ferocious hunter and extremely intelligent! Such a sweetie, I feel so lucky to have him. I named him Stone but most of the time I call him Ham and cheese lol 😂

I have two gingers. One I’ve had since she was a day old and I socialized her and all her siblings. She’s a spitfire. My other ginger was a stray that I had to trap. I had to coax him to get used to me by feeding him wet cat food on my finger. He’s the sweetest, yet shy kitty. Two totally opposite backgrounds and two totally different personalities. And opposite of what would be expected.

We had an orange pet cat. He was disiplined by nature. He went for walks on his own at the same time twice a day.. He was Alert and Observant.. to things and people around him.. He pointed out to laxity of security guards. He maintained distance with other cats in the surrounding area not yo cross boundaries.. He adjusted to a large family balancing relationship with each one... He is No more and we miss him. ❤

I have a marmalade named Oscar (Oski), and he is the sweetest and purrs ALL THE TIME. He is also a triller. I wouldn’t change a thing. 💜🐈💜

My Ginger Girl was A triller, if fell asleep and you were not with her, she would come through the the house yelling MA, MA , if you were setting down, she would jump in my lap and give me A nose bop, snuggle iin and purr. She was the sweetest indoor kitty , she was the house greeter, she welcomed who ever came to the door.

The Orange "buddy" adopted ME from the shelter he was in. Stretched his paw out thru the cage door and pulled my hair! His eyes said "his eyes said please take me home with you" so I did. Everyone PLEASE take your shelter adoptee right to your vet and have it checked for kidney function right away. I didn't know how important that was even though I've had cats since I was 6. High quality food is SO IMPORRANT

My ginger girl had aquamarine eyes when the sun light shined in her eyes. She was A dilute ginger, light Ginger coat on top and under tones were buff. She crossed over the Rainbow Bridge this past March from cancer. We are looking for another Ginger kitten.

I think the ginger tend to be more friendly comes mainly that it's more common for males to be ginger. Male cats tend to be known to be more friendly/affectionate than the female counter part.

That's crazy, aside mothers, I usually see more female cats more calm and friendly compared to their male counterpart. Just don't know if it's just a region or the type of cat.

Don’t forget the orange female cat “Goose” (movie species Flerken) in the movie Captain Marvel! We have an orange male who is approximately 13 years old who was found as a tiny stray kitten by a friend of our son. She was unable to keep him so our son brought him home. “Ricky” was around 5 weeks old. Unfortunately as he grew older he developed the habit of hissing at practically anything. At one vet visit I mentioned it and our vet (who knew his history) suggested that we hiss back to him. She explained that he had not been with his mother long enough to learn his cat manners and that hissing would have been his mother’s way of teaching him. We started hissing back whenever he hissed inappropriately and eventually he learned not to hiss at everything. He is still a little prickly, accepting affection only when he wants it. (We respect his wishes.) However, I have been laid up with a bum ankle for several weeks and he is usually the first of our four cats to keep me company while I’m elevating my leg while lying on the couch. If he’s not on my chest/lap, he is “loafing” guard on the back of the couch behind me.

I have cats all of my life. I know cats so well. I got an orange cat two years go and I know for fact that orange cats are so smart. So clean too. They take extra time to clean the box and cover. Just amazing.

I've owned a collie a Shetland sheep dog and raised an orange cat from 4 months old and my cat was as smart as a whip he could do more than either dog and was the most sensitive loving little guy he was 23 when he passed out living the dogs I miss him he was my buddy his name was Tigger.

My sweet orange girl, her name is Goldy, is one of the best i've ever owned, her sister is a black cat we named Mocha, and they were the only girls from a litter of 4. My niece picked the boy that looked like Goldy's twin and was actually the runt of the litter. The last kitten was also orange but stayed w/ the person my mom and i got the two kittens from back in June. My baby Goldy is so precious and she only started jumping to my lap about two months ago after watching Mocha jump to my lap for a while.

I have 2 orange cats and tuxedo cat the first cat i rescued was sn orange male who is crazy plays fetech, talks, and is the total boss. My tux cat is lazy and sweet also a rescue.. the 3rd cat was an abandoned cat outside she copies the other cats now and all cats get along with dogs now people now so i believe they are sweet intelligent mystical creatures no matter the color

Our orange buddy Ziggy lived to be 23 years old. He had freckles that didn't start to appear until he was middle age. They would come go.

My orange boi doesn’t meow at all unless he really wants something (for example, he wants in from outside) and even then, it’s more of a really quiet squeak. I have no idea why hahaha. He has all the other common traits of an orange cat.

I had a white and black cat almost fifteen years he passed two years ago I said I won’t get another so I can travel more and not worry about getting a cat sitter, we found a orange kitten in my son’s backyard five hours away two weeks ago covered in fleas and ticks and thin he was hanging around a calico cat and she tried to follow us as we brought him into the condo and the little guy was freaking out at first I felt we took him from his Mom there are about four homeless cats back there the neighbors leave food and made little cat homes to sleep in he seems really content but I feel guilty but he was in bad shape and he has been seen at the vet

Absolutely, there's hope! It sounds like your kitty is still young and learning how to interact. Biting can be a way for cats to communicate or play, especially if they don't have siblings to teach them boundaries. Since she loves and shadows you, it's a great sign of her attachment and trust. To curb the biting, try redirecting her behavior with toys whenever she starts to bite, showing her that toys are for biting, not hands. If she does bite, calmly say "no" and withdraw your attention immediately, reinforcing that biting leads to no playtime. Consistently rewarding her with treats and praise for gentle play can also reinforce positive interactions, helping her learn the right way to engage with you. 🐾🚫👏

I used to have two cats, named Orange (Cuz he’s orange), and Tom (He was grey with stripes). My orange cat was a lot more calm and relaxed while Tom was the crazy one who always up to something. One time, Tom went to poop in our human toilet and not his litter box cry 😂

There are pure white cats, they are rare, but albino's do exist in cats. I have had 3 pure white cats, and one had blue eyes (and not blind) which is extra rare as white cats with blue eye are usually born blind.

I have two sibling orange tabbies, both rare females. One orange and white, Ava and the other a classic all orange striped tabby, Jezebel. I adopted them at 18 days old. They're six years old now. I love them dearly and have come to understand that the love given from an animal is a gift from the gods. They love and trust everyone. Animals have souls and my cats souls are so sweet. I love them dearly and they are a the best companion animals I could ever hope for. Orange tabbies are woderful critters.

I adopted 2 reds. Bro and sis. They are a blast!!!! So friendly and chatty!!! Had a black cat she was sweet but not outgoing. Had a calico you was moody. These 2 brats are a hoot!!!! Please relieve shelters of their burdon and consider cats.
