R. D. Burman is a turning point in Hindi music. I donot understand what is meant by he is the one born ahead of time. But he is the synthesis of global music culture. He has not only introduced western percussion and rhythm but also has made it acceptable to melodies, sorrow and romantic. Soul beat rhythms have made thumba an integral part of Indian cinema music.

In these days, after "Scraping in Internet". People are blaming R.D. Burman for copied music from west. But what about today's Hindi music directors / composers, how are still copying / remixing R.D. Burman's music even till today. It will be daring to accept this truth, since 60's till today whole indian film music is full of foreign / regional music copy. (Even by big names)

Those were the times, when unless you are really quite talented, inspite of the push one gets due to their father's mother's credibility, survival was very very difficult even in the basic way, unlike since past 10 - 15 years when even if you do not know the abc of art, you are launched and pushed by parents or production houses and by purchased media, one becomes a star overnight. Thats the reason probably, we could not get another Panchamda after him or for that matter any great talented artiste in any field, be it music directors, singers, directors, heroes or heroines. Imagine even such a great talented artiste like RD Burman was not given respect or importance by his predecessors including his father, unless and until RD produced some gems and proved his ability for which he strived and strived. That was the real passion and commitment and dedication. And the beauty of RD was he worked with his team like a family and valuing even the smallest instrument player and encouraged everybody to come with their best. Lucky are those who could be part of every piece of RD.

Deewana mujhsa nahi gaana was inspired by Nepali folk song ' eh kancha malai sunko tara khasai dewna ' then Shammi Kapoor completed the song ' yo tara matrai hoina junpani '. Yes and when Rd made this tune listen to Shammi Kapoor. He understood that Rd copied it but then Pancham da made him listen his original tunes like oh haseena zulfon wali jaane jahan so then he said your original composition are better than original.

Just show me any other music director apart from RAHUL DEV BURMAN who made his presence in this four point mentioned below. 1. Kishore Kumar who was not a trained classical singer with him he recorded "mere Naina sawan bhado" based on raag shivranjani,then " jane Kya soch kar nahi gujra", don't forget that time it was single take not like today that you can sing a single word. 2. Made song in each & every possible way in music possible. 3. Out side musical instruments produce music with cold drink bottle,polish paper and other thing 4. Introduce many musical instruments in our music likes flenzer,paddle matka. I challenge just show me another music director that's include regional music director who matched all this 4 points I will agree pancham is not unique,but with prove please.🙏
