always a fan of your's ...but I personally think Tar's ejector is right in the face of soldier fuming hot gases and cases....conventional placed ejectors are my choice over bullpups...also the 5.56 round is very low punching power Calibre ..it just injured the target not take him out of fight swiftly ..but Ak's bigger round are devastating and that is why mostly counter insurgency operation troops of our army use Akm ....

IWI also has a .308 version of the Tavor now. And thats even more powerful than 7.62X39mm. I believe it also has a deflector from factory.

5.45 is heavier while 5.56 is lighter. Sometimes one is better than the other in a given situation. Sometimes, a 9mm is preferable, like when you find yourself against unarmored targets at close quarters. The ejector being right in the face is indeed a problem, but it's addressed by the ability of the gun to switch the ejection port sides. if any, I'd consider the height of the rails and the backup iron sights more problematic, seeing how far those are from the barrel. In addition, someone whose used to the M16/M4 platform would have difficulty with changing magazines and the bolt release. It's not a perfect gun, but it's features make it a comfortable platform, from the POV of ergonomics and the relatively easy to control 5.56 caliber. As someone who was taught on the M16 in basic training, I can tell you that the frontal weight really does get to you after a while, especially with a loaded magazine inside the gun.

If Tavor is sooo good then why Indian army going for heavy Ak203 deal????? Why did Garud commandos throwed away Tavors and acquired Ak103s? And why Israel commandos favourite is M4, CAR 15 carbines and not Tavor??

@Kitty Cat tevor used only for close quarter combat by Indian special forces ...if they fight in open like mountains and forest ,their favourite weapon comes for AK platform because it is more reliable and 7.62 mm bullet have more stopping power.
