I watched a video on the Indian pursuit dark horse and they put a stage 2 kit and it made a 142 horse and 138 pounds of tork. You would have to go stage 3 on a Harley to get them numbers. The new 121 the only water parts are cooled is the top of the heads. The 108 is cooling the hole motor and trans.

I've had Japanese motorcycles Harley's custom bikes a couple Valkyries a Stratoliner 1900 Deluxe Yamaha that thing is awesome I still have it and I got a 2021 Indian Challenger limited 2 days ago it's sweet so I'm going to ride it to work this morning it's going to be nice out tonight so we're all going to go riding I like the bike a lot it's a ruby metallic I don't know if it came with it or if someone put the heated grips on and he put on a Corbin seat with a backrest and a backrest for the passenger and a luggage rack and Rinehart exhaust so it's sweet so I've only had it a couple days so it's going to take me awhile and then I'll give a review on how I think the bike is. I almost bought a brand new 2024 blue Harley Road Glide and I would have had to put the exhaust on and a few extra goodies and it doesn't have the windshield that goes up and down automatically and stuff so I mean if I could have been 34 Grand at least for what I wanted on it so I saw this used one for 17 and I snagged it up it's only a few years old and it's got low miles on it so we'll see what happens

Here where I am (I think lol) after thinking about this stuff all weekend. The Low Rider ST is in pole position for me for a bike to trade my current bikes in for. I just absolutely love how that bike rides but hate the lack of tech/infotainment that it has at that price point. That being said, I still need to test ride a Road Glide ST and a Challenger before I can make up my mind in any shape or fashion. I just have to bite the bullet and test a big bike so I can have a better idea of whether that’s for me or not. If it is, things will probably come down to the classic Challenger modernity vs the Road Glide ST upgradeability and built in culture. I like the M8 117 and the look of the RG ST so much that unless the Challenger absolutely blows my mind I think the RGST would probably be the big bike I would target if I go that route. If I don’t like the big bikes, Low Rider ST it is. So, now to set up some test rides. 🤓👍🏾

I don’t know if you made a decision yet. Let me give you a few unsolicited opinions. I have the Challenger. It’s heavy. The turn radius is 3’ more than the HD. When the Ride command works it’s awesome. (It has its issues). There are limited after market items. The stock bars and seat suck. The forward controls are non adjustable. The pros vs the cons are variable. I was actually in the market for a GoldWing when I traded my HD but chose the Challenger. I have some buyer remorse. Very expensive bike to own and maintain.

@@chiefjoseph8154 thanks for the insight and sorry to hear it hasn’t worked out for you. I actually ruled the Challenger out a few months or so ago. I like the new Road Glide the most out of all the baggers now. It’s so easy to ride for a big bike and it has everything you could possibly want on it. I still like the Low Rider ST too, but it feels too expensive for the lack of tech that comes on it. I also really like the BMW S1000XR. That one snuck up on me. All of them are good options at the end of the day. It just comes down to what you are looking for as a rider.

I have owned 8 bikes and currently own 3. I went to motorcycle race and there they were Indian bikes on one side and Harley on the other. My wife rides with me so she's not new to motorcycle sales wars but she doesn't know an Indian from a Harley or a Honda for that matter. Mind you i WANT a Chief or Challenger but i point to the Harleys and Indians and ask innocently "Which bikes look better?" I SHOULD have filmed her reaction because my heart sank. "Oh those are prettier." (Smh). This woman is pointing at the Harleys. Dangit. I don't WANT a Harley but i gotta admit - they are some pretty ass bikes.

Can someone please discuss, dealer network, fit & finsh...resale value. Quit comparing it to other bikes. Let it stand on its on merits...only then will we know how it stacks up to other brands....

Dealer network is weak. Plastic switch housing was surprising. Removing tank to change air filter is a horrible design. Removing the outer fairing seems tedious as every fastener is plastic except the headlight area. I’ve experienced no less than 6 phantom check engine lights all within 11,000 miles. And if you think paying $30,000 for all that goodness and the dealer offers you $18,500 for a trade in then you should buy one. Or buy mine.

25000 miles on my Challenger, my only small gripe is that I wish 5th and 6th gear were waaaay longer, on my 2016 Chieftain at 85 mph the RPMs are at about 2600, on the Challenger at 85mph it’s at 3500rpm
@dnewman3402
@dnewman3402 11 ай бұрын
The Challenger is geared lower because it has lighter flywheels, and an overhead cam for higher RPMS. The Chieftain has a much heavier flywheel that lets the engine pull at lower engine RPMs because of higher flywheel momentum, and no overhead cam. HP of the Challenger vs. the high-end torque of the Chieftain.

I’m a challenger owner and I agree with this statement but honestly when you consider the difference in price point it seems to make sense. Especially since while in motion idc much for the quality of the plastics on the saddle bags, or whether the lids feel solid/have a bit of lid wiggle when closed and locked. I’m paying for performance and, stock for stock, it rides better than the HD RG, and for the value I’d take more performance over fit and finish for an easy $10-$20k less for a comparable HD. That said I’m no hater, if I had the money for it, I’d own both. HD doesn’t sell motorcycles, they sell a lifestyle. Indian has a lot of catching up to do in that regard.

I understand that...I used to feel that way when i owned a 2006 Victory Kingpin that i had for 14years with over 100k before i sold it....I am not giving Polaris another dime of my money since they pulled the plug on Victory line.....If i could have still been able to get parts for it like i can with my TC103 i would still be rockin my Victory...

@@chiefjoseph8154 I know Polaris can...They did it with my old Victory Kingpin...The Switch base on the handlebars were made of Alum on the 2006 model not plastic like later Victory's and the Indian's....Thats just a small example of why Polaris can sell performance monsters with questionable fit n finish for Thousands less...
