I agree, this game has very fun, fresh, and unique ideas. I had one problem with it while playing though: despite the difficulty slider, the difficulty scaling seems askew. For the most part small encounters and even some big encounters were fairly easy even on the higher difficulties, but the minute I ran into a boss I had to scale the difficulty way down. I enjoyed the game and it's story and all, just the changing difficulties all the time was jarring.

They made a manga but it wasn't popular at all. what makes twewy special is his unique gameplay mechanic, it doesn't need an anime. Most of animes based on videogames are BAD ;)

I loved this game it was fresh and a great break from cookie cutter games. The battle style is so much fun. The end was really cool and I love every character. One of my favorite parts is the tin pin slammer episode, it was hilarious to see this non canon joke fanfic sort of thing and it was great. Joshua is a BEAUTIFUL BEAN AND SUCH A GREAT CHARACTER he is my favorite character I’ve ever seen because of the mystery surrounding this arrogant guy. The way he kind of sasses and teases Neku adds something great to him. He’s such a confident, confusing mess but he’s just stunning. The things he says during and after battles are just adorable especially when he blames a bad battle rating on Neku saying he needs to try harder or do better. This is a great sum up of Neku and Joshua’s relationship “Follow my lead” “Screw that” Okay I just droned on too long about Josh so I’ll stop now. (The intro was stunning and so is the music)

As opposed to KH358/2 days & GS Dark Dawn that should’ve waited til the 3ds for graphical fidelity, TWEWY wasn’t as affected by it due to their choice in anime art work style😁kinda wish it had a WiiU or Switch port utilizing the same features for streaming & recording thou😩Neo is so weak compared to the original & it kinda hurts cuz the characters do have a satisfying appeal & the story line is amazing but gameplay wise they turned a technical psy RPG marvel into a button masher if you ask me

This game deadass ruined all other DS games for me bc none of them utilized the hardware the way it did. It was the first game I played on it bc I KNEW I wanted to play it. Since that was my base reference, playing games that didn't utilize *any* of the DS features was severely disappointing.

Just finished it today! The combat drags on and the stylus / touch screen combat is not sensitive enough. The game starts out too easy, but undergoes several difficulty spikes. By the end of the game enemies are a chore to fight, mainly because each battle can take upward of 5-10 mins on normal and hard difficulty. You get to chose from 300 pins (moves), but the majority are useless and repetitive. Most of the missions are a pain in the ass, especially they quizzes and trend changing ones. The story, characters, and music are cliche but nonetheless satisfactory because they each fit well into the games themes. Overall, decent game, but by no means the god it is made out to be.

As a fan of both, TWEWY and Persona, both are great in their own right. If you own PlayStation system, then get Persona. If you own a (3)DS(i)/Switch/Android/iPhone, then get TWEWY (Final Remix for Switch).
