My take from the whole game was 1) A struggling non-threating pairing between Martinelli and Rice. 2) Predictable attacking movement between Saka and Oordegard, 3) Partey was at times slow in his transitions. I don't have any issues about the player, i think Jorginho would have been superb for the Villa game. 4) Harvets was not receiving a lot of passes from our midfield players. So he didn't have as many chances to score throughout the game. However, we won and that's all we needed from the game. COYG :)

He's shown time & time again when he gets a run of games he stinks it out, he's a super sub & that's that. Martinelli meanwhile is 22 years old, getting cooked, yet been our top goalscorer season before last. He's an inside forward, not a touchline winger. Arteta refuses to work to his strengths & that's why he's suffering, in addition to the left side of midfield being obliterated since Xhaka left, lets hope Midrino fixes that.

We were the better side both games last season and lost because we didn’t take our chances. We were the better side on Saturday and Villa did not take their two chances when they came. Sitting back ( 40%/60% possession) at home was probably the way to go because when you came out to play we looked at our best and you looked vulnerable.
