Remember Saka puts up these numbers when Arteta makes him defend like a RWB..... Saka defends like a menace and then still attack with a purpose and end product. Arsenal wouldn't swap him for any player in the world.

"His numbers are better than anybody." Saka: 10 matches, 3 goals, 7 assists (10 G/A) Salah: 10 matches, 6 goals, 5 assists (11 G/A) Saka is a massive talent, no doubt. But he’s benefiting from taking corner kicks to drive up his assist numbers. And fair play to him for putting excellent balls into the box. But it’s another version of Palmer taking penalties for Chelsea. It doesn’t mean they are both not great players. But their stats get driven up by virtue of taking corners and penalties.

He's 92nd percentile amongst top five Europe league wingers/attacking mids for live play shot-creating actions and 81st for dead ball shot-creating actions. He's also 94th percentile for live play goal-creating actions and 81st for dead ball goal-creating actions. And he's only 73rd percentile for dead ball frequency. Meanwhile he does a lot of progressive and defensive work. Salah is less creative, is in the top 1% for shot frequency and bottom 1% for defensive contributions. The shot-creating and goal-creating actions Salah ranks highest for are from poor, saved or deflected shots. Saka ranks considerably higher for passing, take-ons, fouls won and defensive actions when it comes to both shot-creating and goal-creating actions. You're undermining your own argument and doing the opposite of what you intended to by suggesting people look more closely at context.
