This week I sit down with natural lifestyle coach, Tony Riddle, who plans to run the whole length of Great Britain completing 30 miles every day for 30 days completely barefoot in order to show what humans are capable of and what he believes is biologically normal for us. He also plans to raise awareness of sustainability along the way. Tony believes that we are a species that is destined to be innately empowered, wild and connected yet our modern lives are removing us from this natural state. For the last 18 years, Tony’s whole raison d’etre has been to find ways of living that are more in sync with our human biology in order to allow himself, his family and his clients to thrive in this modern world and in this episode, we discuss what he has learnt.
Tony believes that the closer you take people to nature, the better able they are to heal. Many would consider Tony’s lifestyle extreme - he has no chairs in his house and is mostly barefoot. Tony explains why he has made the decision to get rid of all the chairs in his home, why the squat is so important and why having functioning feet is critical for our overall health. Tony also shares some simple ways that office workers and night shift workers can improve their health whilst at work. Finally, Tony shares some of his top tips that will help us all feel better in our everyday lives. This conversation provides a really fascinating insight into what Tony believes is the true essence of being human. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Thanks so much for this. As someone who likes to eat right and move right but is sat at a desk 8 hours a day, implementing some of these steps is going to change my life!

i found this man today on the web and im extremely excited to learn more about his insight about running feet problems and back problems, i want this practise and understanding in my consciousness to be re remembered, when i run my thought are more positive, when i keep it up for weeks im just enjoying life more and have periods of gratitude that almost make me feel high and i live from the heart, then at some point my back gets very stiff then time goes by and i become the human thoughtless blob, compared to the connected me, im now in the process of changing this cycle, i know this will end, i would appreciate any input or help, im based in cornwall, peace gents)) thank you Dr and thank you Tony

Hi 🙋 I’m in Adelaide Australia today and I’m listening to this podcast & finding this stuff really cool. You had a back injury which stopped a lot of your life right, what was it you did to get your back well again? I’m not up for sharing pain I’d rather share being healthy and freedom.. I also believe it’s a lot of emotional stuff also.. So please , could you share how you healed your back? I’ve tried chiropraction, Physio, yoga ,etc. Now I’m trying out “Emmett Threapy” .. what else can you share please? Thanks Again for great talks Niree 🦋🐬
