What Materials Can CAMEO 5 Cut with ElectroStatic Mat?

Thank you for the video. I actually had the ES mat in my basket and decided to verify my uses before buying. From the info in your video, I'd rather stick to the standard mat. Think you have saved me some money although I don't think Silhouette will be happy.

I just cut out 50 Magnet Paper - Adhesive and it did a wonderful job once I found the correct settings. For my Cameo 5 on ES mat I put the Blade at 6, Force at 33, Passes 4.

Hi, I'm looking to cut 1mm (39mil) magnetic paper - Adhesive. Can it cut it this deep? I'm looking to buy a silhouette cameo 5. I've been trying to get answers everywhere. Does it need ES mat? Can I make without one?

@saranyabalaji3122 I think my magnetic paper is about that size. No you do not need the ES mat to cut this.

I am looking to purchase the cameo 5, most likely tomorrow.. and I am very interested in creating magnets.. what blade do I need? Can I use the one that comes with the machine or do I need a different one??.. what is the best magnet paper? I am needing printable.. thanks

Does this work with card? If so, what is the maximum thickness do you think would work? 300gsm?

Yes you can use cardstock. I am not 100% on the max weight

I'm sure it will, but you usually don't need to cut sublimation paper.

I was told by Silhouette that you can tape down items on the ES Mat. I didn't have any trouble doing that.

That kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion.

It doesn't defeat the purpose because another benefit of the es mat is that it isn't sticky, so whatever is being cut would be easier to remove. The problem with mats are they can rip or curl what you pull off.
