@@kft It is fantastic that on your website, people chose at the beginning of the podcasts "La Cathédrale Engloutie" of Claude Debussy. I used to play this piece. It is the story of something (a mythic city) which is engulfed, and then, come out, and be engulfed again. This choice is beautiful.

When as a young adult I was awakened to the religious trauma of my youth, I became determined to find "essence" - some sort of truth stripped completely of both ritual & cultural trappings as well as categorization (eg, psychological, spiritual or religious). It's been 35 years and an almost impossible quest, but here JK validates what I have discovered deep in the Upanishads, Buddha's teachings and the writings of all true mystics ...which I could paraphrase as: "the only truth is your direct experience... don't take our word for it, we just say what's worked for us... go find out for yourself... in fact, you have to find out for yourself, or it isn't true 'essence' or Truth". This realization has helped a great deal in my healing.

Yes K’s words are wonderful. I eventually came to realize this truth . . . but in the beginning I did use meditative aids, objects, techniques and practices - against which K just spoke, and I do agree with him. They are not meditation. For me they were transitional stepping stones, as they helped me quiet my mind. Once it was quiet then I began to realize and experience what K is describing here. And he is right, was he describes is true meditation. I won’t say what anyone should do or how they should reach the stage that K is describing. But I am thankful that I made it there, and so I am grateful for those stepping stones even though they weren’t quiet right. I wonder what I will realize next.

In my younger years I came across Krishnamurti and I was affected by his view of meditation which for me makes it very enjoyable. Just watch and observe, don't suppress or use effort to silence the mind. This approach seems to take away that furrowed-brow approach to opening up, and if my forehead is all scrunched up then observe that too. There seems to be less of an agenda while meditating and it makes consciousness more trusting.

Your life is the subject of your meditation. Muse over it. Be silent and let the insights come. Before you learn to walk, it seems impossible. Before you learn to ride a bicycle, it seems unimaginable. You don't need to try to walk, do you? You don't need to try to ride a bicycle, do you? It's no different with meditation. Krishnamurti's definition of meditation is true and insightful with regard to true meditators. True meditators practice with awareness, observation and clearly understand the ultimate purpose of our journey in this life. However, for a beginner this can be very difficult to understand. Krishnamurti will fly over them. For non-meditators, it would be nearly impossible to understand, leave alone practicing it. For pseudo-meditators, Krishnamurti is a great conversation starter for a social party 🎈 🎊 🎉.

In essential fact willingly endure the most ardently challenging thing. PS. Is it possible, for me to properly granting, obtain and to publish/ostensibly promote on my lively blog with your necessary credits on it and without youtube? Sincerely thanks, hearty cheers!

Thank you for posting this lovely video. Theravada Buddhism also elaborates a lot about meditation or bhavana. It's describes two qualities of mind namely: samatha (calming the mind) and vipassana (insight). I just put this comment because I heard him say that Buddhism is conditioned by propaganda.

I'm a software eng. undergraduate and love coding. But once I enter this inner engineering state, I start to detach myself to most of the things I love and coding with. Still trying to cope with the two

krishnamurti was a very passionate spiritual teacher. in the end he realised you cannot teach it. keep in mind that even trying to specify what mediation is not implies somthing that it is. this is what krishnamurti is trying to avoid however when summarising enlightenment or meditation in words the way krishna is. you get this issue. I'd say that mediation is realising or remembering that you are love itself, where "love" includes everything and nothing becasue everything includes nothing, even to hate loving. It can be a discipline where you sit, it can also be a dance etc. etc. etc. there is nothing mediation cant be. but it is rooted in the present moment because that is all you have and that is what is already accepted when you experience it. with intelligence, you can realise that fear is an illusion because what do you have to be afraid of when it is always now. all you can control is what happens in the next moment.
