George Michael said at a show ''I Just want you to turn to the person next to you and imagine them having 4 or 5 times as much hair and you have the 80's. Hair and music defined that decade. Glad to be an 80's boy.

I was in a rock cover band back around 1987 or so, when I lived in Spokane, WA. I was the keyboard player/background vocals, and I had a mullet too! lol. I even had the frosted tips like Bono had, hehe!! I had auditioned for keyboardist after seeing an ad in the paper, and I beat out all the other contenders, despite me having only one keyboard, a Korg DW 6000, and a Peavey KB100 keyboard amp. Those were the days though, lol. Nice video too, by the way!! Rock on!!

Man, this takes me back! Banging away on my black Tama set, sporting my mullet proudly, lol! Was right about this time, too, late 80's. Thanks for sharing, this is great.

Our rehearsal rooms (usually storage space rentals with no heat/air) in those days were filled with cigarette smoke, beer cans, trash, etc... That place looks nice!

LOL... yeah... fast forward about 3 years and I was practicing at a METH HOUSE...

That band is totally rockin'! Especially the guy on guitar, that's some clean professional playing. Dude on drums is ok too, 😁.

After listening to the second song again, I noticed that the intro sounds somewhat similar to Van Halen's "Panama."

Sounds like best of both worlds by Van Halen

Sounds like the main riff from Cult of Personality

Thank you for your comment. I agree! When we first created this song I felt that it had that same vibe!

Nice sound! I Wish I could lived and enjoy music during that years too! :) very interesting to see this kind of moments...What synth did you use back then? Can’t see clearly. Roland something..?
@synthartist694 жыл бұрын
Hi Eaglechild. I was actually playing drums in this video. Our keyboard player was using a Roland S-10 sampling keyboard. I started playing keyboards seriously about 2 years after this band. My first full sized keyboard was a Kawai K4. Those were fun times :)

@@synthartist69 Oh! I should have read the description. I noticed now. This video reminded me very much another channel called "ERIC & DARRELL" who post their late 80s vlogs (about their life as a metal & Rock fan) . Everything seemed simpler and more authentic! Cheers! ;-))
