The factory presets in the deepmind don’t do it Justice at all to what it’s truly capable of. It’s a beautiful sounding synth but the factory presets are drowned in fx that ruin its character. I love how much you can do with this synth from its mod matrix/top tier in depth fx section and poly detune ability. Gives me the same feeling as playing a Juno 106/60 but can emulate so many more classic synths. Jx3p, Jupiter 8, polysix, solina strings and so much more. Really is a very complex versatile synth with such beautiful sound character. Has a nearly perfect Juno 106/60 chorus built in as well when you tweak the parameters just right in the chorus settings.

wow, I am very impressed with these vocal patches. Beats my stupid ass MX49. Gonna get a Modx6+ next month, watching this has now confirmed my ambition. Thanks for uploading all of these sounds for us.

How do you feel the sound of the S8 compared to the Jupiter X? Which one felt more closer to the originals and analogue to you? I feel the sound of the S8 sounds much more natural than the AMB tech in the Jupiter X. Not too big a fan of the generic Roland type filter they stuck in the X either instead of modeling the actual filters like ACB does.

What do you use to record your audio directly with your camera? Good job btw!

Best Demo for playing live and covering songs. You haven't even gone deep yet. Nor have I. this synth is wild and deep.

I think the Roland has more phatness than the Moog.

How did you created those 3 patches at the beginning? I am getting the Muse and the TEO-5. Was thinking about getting the OBX8, but after owning an OBXa, Yamaha CS60, Jupiter 6 and a sequential pro one. It seems that the Muse covers some of my past synth. The TEO-5 can cover the SEM territory. Sold all of them about 15yrs ago, don’t really missed them (maybe the nostalgia of those sounds) after waiting months to be fixed and paying for repairs, It was an easy decision for me. Plus the CS60 was heavy as well as the OBXa.

So far not making any sounds that I can't make with either the Summit or the Hydrasynth.

We are in a renaissance of analog synths and I love it! I can hear the phatness!

This thing sounds great.. Love the tone of the second patch at 2:16 min. How do you rate it to your P5/10? I have a p5 and will never get rid of it. But the oscillators sound punchier on the muse.. definitely won’t hurt to add this to the stack

so how would you say this compares to other modern analog poly reissues and new offerings? will this be a new “go-to” for some classic 80s bread and butter tones? That great riff sequence you always play at 3:33 - does the sound in the room compare to when you play it on the Jupiter 8?

That sounds BIG indeed! Not too many synths that sound like that first preset :) Then again if you use a sound like that in a song, there isn't much space left for a anything else. Oh and it jumps too ;) Yay! Good stuff sir!

Some of the riffs played are obvious. Like Jump, and Sunglasses. But others aren't. Would be nice if someone or the OP compiled a list of song names to go along with the patch order in this video.

Preset, preset, preset please- only knowing how to play the song is not enough- we need to know the patch/preset info as well. This always seems to get overlooked in these kind of videos.

Can you take out the distortion on some of the organs or is it built into the sample? Also, can you change the leslie effect? Some use tremolos instead.

I've owned a Jupiter X for about 8 months now. It's taken me this long to realize why its called X, because it's designed to be whatever Jupiter you want it to be, well that is if maybe Roland creates the Jupiter 6 if they can compete with the Mercury 6 VST. Intend to get this. Just gotta figure out how to import with the existing stuff I have saved.
