Hey Kayla! I would feed my son the gerber toddler meals when I needed something quick to heat up. He loved the spaghetti rings and chicken + rice!

Hi Kayla, my 12 month old son always has blueberries for breakfast 🫐 he also likes chicken and beans! I just get the canned ones low in sodium. I still nurse my son too, and sometimes he wants to eat more than other times but like you said, it’s just about offering foods to them. In my case, it’s a bit more difficult because he’s allergic to dairy and eggs. We have his appt next month to see if he’s still allergic (praying he’s not!) thanks for the video! God bless you & your family!

Oddly enough my baby began to hate bananas lol so soft mango pieces and apples. For breakfast my daughter still prefers porridges so we have oats or grits cooked with apples and cinnamon and some butter. Custards too are an option with mashed steamed apples (I think that’s what you guys call applesauce) but aside that it’s eggs (made in different ways: scrambled, with veggie inside; tomatoes one day, onions another etc. Or boiled or mixed with a bit of milk and butter … omelette like? ) or sausages. Sometimes I sauté veggies to go with it. I noticed she doesn’t like pancakes or anything in muffin or cupcake form unfortunately for me Lunch and dinner is really anything we are having. Her favourite is something we have called banku. It’s kinda a maize&cassava mash (a slightly more dense texture than mashed potatoes so you can handle it like playdoh) usually had with okra soup. But since it’s soup I feel like I have to feed her. Otherwise she just has homemade rice dishes with stew or sauce. She’s still not used to anything pasta like. When we have salads she just has some of the individual veggies. She seems to also like fries so we do either yam or potato fries cut thick so inside is nice and soft and it’s not too crispy/hard I’ve kinda been winging it lol so trying to find more ideas myself ESPECIALLY for snacks. Gonna try the apples with butter and cinnamon! EDIT: ou! She LOVES fish so I try to sneak it into as many things as I can to encourage her to eat 😂 she could probably eat a whole grilled tilapia if I let her

My baby never turns out a banana either, but also blueberries and chopped up dates ! They are naturally sweet, quite filling and a healthy snack !

So interesting. In France we only do 20grams of protein a day and during lunch. I find it so interesting to see how other moms do it.

..other fruits that would be easy for hi to eat would be ripe nectarines- just peel the skin off, kiwi, pear, mango- just for some variety- and maybe get a fruit ready for him for breakfast before he wakes up or if u sleep until he wakes up you could also prepare it the night before and put it in a container. Also, French toast and pancakes would be a great breakfast food, toast with peanut butter or avocado.............

My baby 15 months old, still eating purees, even though she got 10 teeth. I cook a soup for her where I add meet, vegetables and lentils = then blending all as puree. I am freezing in containers for 1 week. If to give knly pieces of food, she is not accepting, only if it's cherry tomatoes, blueberries, and cucumbers. I blend fresh carrots and mix with yougurt, sometimes steamed beetroot. I am working mom, nanny takes care of my daughter, so no chance to cook for ger every time fresh food. She is on formula milk and do not always drink her 200 ml portion, so I rely on the food more than the milk.

Snack idea!!! Hey Kayla, So my baby girl and Sean are very close in age and my baby girl loves dried figs as snack, i just chop them up really small. They were a surprise hit with her, maybe you can try with Sean and they are super healthy as well!!

so funny, as soon as the video started and I saw the banana on the tray, I was like "yep, that's my baby, too." hahaha. every meal starts with fruit for us! Probably not great for her appetite, but it's the ONLY way I can get any of her food cooked ! x

My son turned 2 earlier this month and he doesn't like egg just like this.. So scrambled, fried, hard boiled.. He's not interested. Not even omelet But he'll eat French toast and food with egg in it 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ My son also figured out these Munchkin weighted straw cups easily.. Started it around 14 months, now just before he turned 2, I moved to different straw cups that don't leak and that aren't weighted.. The weighted ones do leak sometimes. My son is kind of picky (he eats everything at daycare though)... But I still give him yoghurt or pouches etc afterwards if he doesn't eat much food... But eventually I will stop giving him extra things, and hopefully he'll eventually just eat enough of the food I make 🤦🏻♀️😂
