When my 11 month old started throwing food I've done the redirection of her sharing food with me, instead of it going on the ground I let her either put it in my hand or actually let her feed me. So I do a trade, feed her a spoon full and then I let her give me a bite. It's worked well so far. Less mess on the floor for the moment.

I asked my daughter to put meal in my mouth instead of throwing now she puts meal in my mouth spoon by spoon and doesn't eat.😂😀

Omg I haven't even given my baby solids yet and he just turned 1. He got his teeth very early (a total of 10 now) and he bites on everything but doesn't know how to chew I'm scared he will choke (first time mommy here). We tried those teething cookies when he was around 7mo and he bit a chunk off and started choking after that I got so scared to feed him anything close to solids. I see your daughter just stuffed three pieces of oranges and avocado and I'm so amazed! You've inspired me, I'm going to try again tomorrow. Wish me luck guys

Start of with small pieces , my baby girl done did that with a teething snack as well and I got super scared but still proceeded in giving her it with smaller portions and eventually she just learned to chew on her own until I started giving her bigger pieces of whatever solid food I give her

I started giving my daughter from mash to lumpy but soft texture for a week or so when i saw she is comfy with bits and lumps and can mash them in her mouth so i started giving her small pieces of fruits and veggies or soft cheese that will easily breakdown in mouth... now she is 1 year and 1 month and eats like how its shown in video... eats everything i give her less spicy curry and roti or rice and she eats proper meal...

When I was little, my mom used to mash the sweet potato and serve it with milk (like cereal) I dont remember if she boiled the sweet potato in cinnamon milk, or something like that

If they don't like the food they will heave it far from them. Dropping it on the floor sometimes is common and it relates to their learning about gravity and assuring themselves for a period of time that the same thing will occur. But you cannot give her more food just to throw it. Part of what she must learn is that she must eat what's on her tray/plate or there is no more because she threw it down. In some homes the food on the floor ends up being eaten by the dog. She is eating really good amounts to provide her adequate nutrition and her palate is diverse.

Courtney Volpe my son is 13 months just got his first tooth and he eats a lot of things I didn’t think he could eat. His favorite thing is a toasted pb&j and I cut the crust off and cut it into strips. Of course it’s what you feel comfortable giving them to start. He liked eggs at one point but that quickly ended. Now he spits eggs out

I would say " all done sweety" and take it away. And give it back 15 mins later. That gives the message if you throw it, it goes away until you're ready to eat it not throw it.

Omgg thank you for these ideas. My baby is almost 13 months and barely likes any foods. I’m struggling with ideas too. She will not eat veggies, meat, pastas, rice, potatoes. Basically dinner foods she won’t eat. So I end up giving her baby snacks for dinner most of the time. She likes most breakfast foods and fruits. It’s so stressful I wish I could just have a glass of wine but I’m pregnant again 😒

Do you put her to sleep with it without a bottle? My 12mo will only sleep if she is drinking a bottle sometimes takes 2 or 3 burned is how to stop that routine, she’ll cry forever if I don’t give her a bottle as she is falling asleep :(

my baby is 13 months old, I am almost having a 2nd baby. my baby hardly eats anything. he vomits. he eats cookies maybe 1 or 2 if we r outside of house. or 1 portion of bread out of 4, in 3 days. stopped eating eggs, he used to eat it when he was 8 months. so what should I do, I am so stressed. since he was born he had problems in digesting milk. I started house milk 2 months ago now he's good. even if he's starving the food taste good he tries eatng it but then his face shows that he feels like vomiting and he vomits when we try to give him food. the doctors tell me to give him food when he's hungry, that's what I am doing since he's 8 months old. can you please give me a good advise it might help. so far I got some help from ur this video.

My son (13 months) also throws his food to our dog on purpose. Drives me insane. I’ve noticed its usually when his mouth is full and he’s bored while chewing. I’ll take the top part of his tray away and give him one piece at a time after that.

I'm so terrified that my child with choke on a piece of food. Like, is she chewing. Those slices look so large to me. My son has his front 8 teeth, but I still find it hard to allow him to eat meats in particular, or anything that isn't completely mashed.

I like the meal ideas! Thanks:) do you ever use organic? They are so much better for our bodies and brains. Pesticides are not good for us. I read recently it can be linked to autism.
