This was so beautiful to watch....my baby is 17 now, but I will share with our new Moms. This would have been so helpful, as the guidance was sketchy when I was raising my sons. Thank you so much for this channel, it’s a real service to humanity!❤️🙏

What do you mean by "some things" 8:58? What kind of symptoms should we be on the look out for with the transition? What would cause a child not to be able to start a Weston Price diet?
@MK-xq8pd2 жыл бұрын
5:58 Can I ask why the caution with paprika and other night shades? Just so I know.. as i’ve got a little one on gaps and wondering if night shades is something I should be cautious of too. Thanks!
@rhiannonstewart42072 жыл бұрын
Night shades can be very problematic for many people, due to inflammation issues or triggers of auto immune disease. They are regularly avoided when doing auto immune protocols.

Not sure if I’ve missed it somewhere, but could you link the silicone pouch you used for the kefir? Thanks!

Marisa, have you heard of the trendy metabolic way of eating? It confuses me greatly (eating white sugar, coffee, chocolate, coke, emphasis on carbs; but no PUFAs) but people claim they feel great. Do you have any thoughts?
@goldgildedgirl37862 жыл бұрын
I should clarify that is not all they eat, those are just the parts that really confuse me.

Such a wonderful video! I had a question about the butter. Why butter instead of other fats like avocado?
@christyg1236 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I was thinking the same. Like a nut butter, coconut or avocado
@eleanor4759 Жыл бұрын
She believes that saturated fat and cholesterol from animal products are needed for optimum hormonal, cell membrane and other aspects of health. Also, avocados and coconuts and tropical and I wouldn't be surprised if Marissa believes in eating seasonally, locally and/or according to your genetics/ancestral diet :)

Hi, great video! What are your thoughts on giving 12 months and up raw milk?
@bumblebeeapothecary2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I start giving them cultured raw milk (yogurt and kefir) around 6 months. I also like to nurse them until 18 months. Later on when it's clear that they don't need to stay on GAPS (the timing is individual to each kid), I introduce uncultured raw milk :)

Thank you so much for sharing, what a little champion. you have been a huge inspiration for me, although some things I have had to use something alternative like coconut milk kefir and coconut yoghurt will this have the same great benefits Ideally I will get to the level of making kefir from our milk from the farm

Is there something wrong with nightshades for babies or have you just not introduced them yet?
@beccabardot11182 жыл бұрын
I do believe that children inherently eat like this. My children since they were that age and even now, they crave butter and healthy high fats.

Awesome vid Marissa! Question for you... how long are your youngest's naps? Our kiddo is the same age and nights have been so bad lately with so many wake ups. But we have been doing two naps per day still... total nap time is 2 or 3 hours
