Korean Englishman is one of the best channels ever! Josh speaks fluent korean bc he studied in Seoul University afaik and his wife, Gabie, is korean. Ollie understands and speaks to an extent but he's not fluent yet, but he's defo getting there! They have another channel called "Jolly" where they do more western stuff. They're super hilarious.

Ollie is so adorable when he speaks Korean, it's obvious that he's trying to improve and doesn't do it just for clout without getting anywhere with it; he's aiming for fluency, which is a definite sign of determination and love for the culture. Lovely lads, and their chemistry with NCT 127 was great too. 😊Btw, Mark's giggles everytime Ollie did sth funny made my heart flutter.

Josh grew up in China and attended an international school filled with Koreans, so he grew up super immersed in Korean culture. Ended up going to Korea University as well years later.

This is hands down one of the best interviews they've ever done. It's so pure, you can tell Mark and Jaehyun had a great time and they had great conversation. It was funny and very natural, there was no weird or rude questions and you can tell Josh and Ollie really did do some research which is always a blessing for NCT especially bc they're concept is so unique, it can lead to a lot of confusing and not every interview tries as hard to understand it before speaking to them. So glad you checked this out! I hope you watch 127's uncut videos for Sticker and their Lemonade Stand Talk youtube video too.

NCT 127 actually met up with josh and olly when NCT had their London concert on gabbie’s channel (Josh’s wife)!! This is one of my fave NCT interactions since I’m a fan of josh and olly as well. The Korean englishman channel is very popular especially in korea! Josh has even been on korean tv. If josh and olly were around the public, they would likely be recognised! They’ve also done a series in collaboration with the Korean military. That’s the kind of influence they have in korea! Also fun fact, mark said “we’re not the avengers of kpop” and it’s arguable that he alluded to superm being the avengers of kpop. Also note this interview was in 2019 before the announcement of superm.

I love this! Josh is fluent in korean since he studied there i think and he has a korean wife. They make all sorts of fun videos and introduces korean culture for others too. They also do celebrity interwiews and eat korean food with them. They’ve had people like david beckham, chris hemsworth, ryan reynolds, arnold schwarzenegger and lewis hamilton on their channel which is amazing:)

The phrase "A bit messy" was a catchphrase of Ollie's daughter (age 2/3) when they would introduce messy food to her in the channel, such as Oreos dunked in milk. It was so darn cute that they ended up making merch for kids with it.

i never thought yall would react to this omg. korean englishman is one of the best channels on youtube imo. Josh grew up in China and the school he went to there was mainly korean students. so he spent a lot of time around korean culture as a kid and learned the language. when he moved back to england for university he got really into sharing korean culture with his friends and thats when him and ollie decided to make youtube videos of them showing korean food and culture to people in england. since then theyve become one of the biggest youtubers in korea and have done videos with sooooo many korean and american celebrities. they also have a second channel called Jolly where they make more casual content for fun. you guys should 100% watch their channel in your free time. they are hilarious and their korean englishman videos especially are very high quality. also "a bit messy" is a reference to something Ollie's daughter Juno said in one of their old videos.

Fun fact: Josh (3rd from the left) is a quarter Chinese (his grandma is Chinese and he lived in China during part of his childhood) so that's why he can also speak Mandarin (in addition to English and Korean) Edit: and his mom and brother also speak Mandarin and I think they still speak it to one another often even in England.

This is so random but you seemed really interested... so about Heimlich's name, I'm from Hungary and (idk about other countries but) most people with Jewish backgrounds who're from here have German names or had German names originally but changed it during like the 30's or so for safety reasons
