It may not be in a swing state, but Manhattan will be the center of the political world Tuesday night as Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) face off in the vice president debate.
But what do locals think about it? Based on a walk around the city the day before the showdown, they weren’t thinking about it much. Little signage for either candidate could be found on buildings or at kiosks selling kitsch to tourists.
