Difficult situation for us as “new comers”to the European party, we must qualify for the champions league if we want to keep Bruno, Isak, Gordon if we don’t we will loose one of them and it’s start again looking for quality replacements. @@Bennyboy138 . Hall is going to be world class, the way he strikes a football is perfection .. mark my words, he’ll get between 5/7 goals this season and a decent number of assists .. the difference between him and Burn on the ball and going forward is night and day .. plus, he’s shown signs that he’ll mature as a defender too.. we’ve got a player that could go on to be a Newcastle united & England legend in my opinion.

The only thing I would say for Miggy is that he wants to play give and goes all the time and Longstaff just isn't sharp enough so it hasn't helped him. Once Tonali is back, him or Bruno will be playing a lot closer to Miggy so he should improve. I do agree though his lack of a right foot is shocking and we should be looking to improve that area.

Miggy's performance against Brighton last season told us everything we need to know about him not being up to the level. How many times are we going to watch this lad louse up moves, miss chances etc? If the penny hasn't dropped for Howe then it never will!
@SKINDEREE3 ай бұрын
I hear a lot of the fan base demanding a top four finish, you have to ask yourself the question, are Newcastle good enough for that? I still think Newcastle are four quality players away from a side who could finish in the top four regularly. Are we starting to go down the deluded Geordie road again with our over the top ambitions? As it stands I still think Newcastle are a finish 7th/8th and 6th with a wind behind us team. You only have to look at Saturday's game in Japan to see how Newcastle are literally walking a tightrope to disaster! Isak gets upended in the first half landing on his shoulder and for 5 minutes it was looking like a 20 year old unproven forward who hasn't yet signed was going to be starting up front against Soton. That is how fine the margins are for Newcastle being a hairs breadth away from disaster! Newcastle will carry on into next season being their erratic selves looking good one week then awful the next imo. I think Eddie Howe fits into the erratic equation as well looking more like the manager he was at Bournemouth. We were leaking goals from the start of last season and the erratic poor performances were there before the injuries kicked in. Newcastle will be involved in entertaining topsy turvy matches but is that the answer for this club going forward? Howe has been given a pass because of the injuries although that in no way told the whole story! A good manager is like a champion snooker player who is always looking four shots ahead, you don't see that with Howe who seems incapable of making the tough decisions on his squad. The Callum Wilson question should have been answered in last summer's window where he should have been sold then when his stock was high. The same should have happened with Almiron but both these players are still parked causing headaches for the board while Eddie just wants to keep everyone! It is definitely make or break for Howe with the expectation levels through the roof but is it within Howe's skillset to constantly deliver? He could well be kicking himself not taking the England job because I don't think the board will put up with another season of indifference. I do feel for Howe because he has become a victim of the early upsurge in Newcastle's fortunes punching above their weight to get UCL qualification. It will be interesting to see what happens next season.
