American Idiot was the album I listened to in my mid teens and felt really close to my heart, with my mother kicking me out of her suburban house after one to many screwups, and my dad who had been divorced sense I was 8 took me in near downtown, and helped me go through the emotional breakdowns I had in the months following my mom kicking me out. Particularly, Boulevard of Broken Dreams really encapsulated town I felt, where I felt like I had no one to confide in, and just not knowing what I should do. Now, it reminds me of how I have grown as a person, and try to smile more often.

@devanegeroy4 жыл бұрын
@@thesaxon5847 I am not sure. See the lyrics there is nothing about love. Probably about letting things in general go. I also know the version that it was written after Dookie about what I said. See the song lyrics 86 from Insomniac. Connect them with Good Riddance. I know this version: - quote - Though the song lends itself to many different interpretations, two explanations are the most prevalent. According to the first, the song was written for 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, California, the club where the band got its start. After the mainstream success of Dookie, many of the band's original fans accused the group of selling out and turned their backs on Green Day. The band responded by writing this song in retaliation. - end quote - The other version is what you said but again check the lyrics.

The new songs suck. Hopefully they’re just trolling to get out of their record contract and they’ll make something better after the new album is released

Good vid man, most facts are straight, love the clip of Billie getting ran over from their new music video "Oh yeah" that got released last week. From a hardcore Green Day fan, good job, although Billie met his wife Adrienne before him and "amanda broke up in1994". Amanda must've been earlier than that by many years considering Billie writting two songs for Adrienne on their 92' album kerplunk. "2000 light years away" and "80". but over all good job

Dookie isn't the debut, they had two albums before that, the first one now on spotify combined with an EP they did beforehand.

Same, found out about Nirvana and RATM. Way better musicians, and RATM is definitely more punk than green day.

@@CampCucumber well we were on the subject of getting tired of green day's music, so that's why I brought up those bands. And Rage Against The Machine may not have the punk sound, but they definitely had the attitude of a punk band, and their ideology is punk, so yeah. Hope that clears everything up mate.
