The biggest problem with my idea is that if you changed the area within the shot, people would be able to see it switch to the video (unless you reshot it)

Thanks so much for this video Nutty! Been a fan for years. All your videos have really helped and have calmed my anxieties cause I'm not super tech savvy. Your fun delivery and comedy make my day! I recently added cooking segments to my streams. I have a static wide shot camera, but I wanted a camera to see my prep station and then could pan to my stovetop. I think this would work great! And with these filters you mentioned I could have chat redeem points to check on what's cooking etc. Maybe have each burner on the stove have its own filter so chat can zoom in on a certain pot or pan? Anyways, thank you for all you do, keep it up, it's really great and appreciated!

Amazing! But is there any way to add ramping to the movements - i.e. different speeds when transitioning? It seems the movements is jarring when moving in steps - if there's a way to add ramping for moving (i.e. start moving slowly, then speed up, then slow down again before stopping) it would open up so many possibilities for cheap portable ptz solutions for sports, shows, etc...

Yes, Move Transition has an easing function for all the movements. You can also adjust the transition time so it isn't as jarring. I don't think they are particularly smooth though, I'll have to test it.

My biggest problem with the Insta360 Link is that even though it has 3 gimbles, you can only adjust the Pan and Tilt. I really want to be able to "roll" the camera instead of it just being stuck at either 0 or 90 degrees. If they opened up that axis of rotation, it would be a game changer.

@ while they did at least semi-unlock it, you’re limited to like 5-10 degrees of movement. An improvement for sure, but not really a solve. Are you using the Insta-software, or something else to control it. I couldn’t get 3rd party software to “roll” even after updating the firmware.

I just bought it and connected yesterday. I had issues with using zoom gesture until I noticed I needed to move my hand slowly up / down for zooming in and out too. I love this little camera. I tried using System hotkeys on the Elgato Streamdeck, but I find that one works sometimes. I can use hotkeys on kb every time. I will be checking out this plugin for OBS for sure. Thanks!

I installed OBS 3.20 on a Mac mini M2 Pro, then Move 2.10.1 - insta360 Link works great, but there is no "move video capture device" in the filters. Found someone in the forums with same problem - said it was resolved by going back to Move 2.8.2. I tried that - still no filter. I uninstall OBS, reinstalled, installed Move 2.8.2 - still no "move video capture device" in the filters. Do you happen to know a solution?

Hey nutty: I've got a question about the OBS plug-in. Wondering if it's capable of smoothly tracking a person's movement from one camera to another, even when switching between different scenes. My setup includes Mevo network cameras, along with various other networked and USB cameras placed around my space. The goal here is to have OBS automatically follow me as I move, seamlessly shifting to the right scene or camera whenever I do. And if I'm not moving, it could switch to a multi-camera view. I'm pretty curious if the OBS plug-in can pull off these transitions based purely on motion detection. The idea of having a dynamic viewing experience where OBS adapts to my movements sounds awesome. Your insights on this would be incredibly helpful in figuring out if it's possible. Thanks a bunch!

You need to turn on Streamer Mode. That will give you access to extra resolutions, including 1080x1920.

@@nuttylmao - mahalo for the feedback. I have found that when the webcam is being used by another application, it only allows me to do 1920x1080. When i close OBS, i can use the resolution to change it to 1088x1920. The only workaround i have found is to add instalink controller.exe as a window capture.

I asked again, what happen if I have multiple Insta360 link webcams to one PC at the same time? Do the external software (like VMIX), recognize each one? Will can I switch between Cam1, Cam2, Cam3, in Vmix, on a livestream? Im waiting the answer.
