in my experience, nyc is the absolute worst place in the world to thrift. its picked apart.

manhattan has a lot of fake thrift stores (kinda like plato’s closet) and prices are ridiculous. go to the queens and bronx for lowkey thrift stores. nj has some good finds too

@@barbrothers2 Agreed. Most NYC vintage shop buy the bulk of their merchandise online too, or on bulk from rag houses in the Rio Grande valley of TX.

You have to go to L train vintage, its where everyone goes, its huge. It’s in brooklyn but its like the only good real thrift store near manhattan I know of.
