What a beautiful testimony Pastor Swindol. I listen to your sermons every night. I too was an unexpected event. My mom was 41, my dad 43. Mom wasnt thrilled since my closest in agr was my sister who was 7 years older. My mother had a difficult birth and she birthed a child unlike the first 5 and I was the baby that grew into an opiniated willful child. Me and my mother were never very close and I can go as far as to say that I loved and honored her because she was my mother but I did not like her as a person. My father was my rock until he died in 1972. Mom died in 2014 at age 97. I pray to GOD that HE can atraighten out the kinks in me and moms relationship. Maybe when I see her in Heaven. I understand you completely when you speak of not having an intimate relationship with your father. I didnt have one with my mother because of her favoritism and divisiveness. GOD BLESS

Enlightening and encouraging message indeed. I just noticed a weakness in his preaching. He kept using the word 'stupid' in some of his sermons. Isn't that a 'foul' word that we as Christians, especially a Pastor in the pulpit preaching, shouldn't use anymore in conformity to Ephesians 5:4? Just asking as I'm quite bothered by his using that word. No offense meant, please.

Interesting. I listen to Pastor Swindoll’s podcast five days a week and to his Sunday sermon every Sunday night, and I’ve never noticed this.
