My order was BB, ER, DS3, Sekiro, and those 4 games are 10 out of 10. After that I completed DS2 and DS1 little by little, but the combat is what really made me fall in love with those games and those 2 were really hard for me to get through since it is much slower

I personally like the faster combat more. But I’m stoked that Bloodborne and Elden Ring got you into the series.
So interesting to see everyone’s order on the games. I played them in this order: DS1, Bloodborne, DS2, DeS, DS3, Sekiro, ER I would recommend a newbie play in this order: ER, DeS (remake), DS1, DS2, DS3, Bloodborne, Sekiro

Demon souls is a good game but I would’ve tried out one of the darksouls first just because it’s where all of these games were formed from ya know? I went Elden ring, Dark souls 3 and bloodborne at the same time, ds1-2, sekiro, then demon souls. The experience for demon souls is cool on ps5 but the bosses aren’t great and it’s too easy to enjoy all that much, for me of course. Doesn’t matter though honestly just play whatever but Demon souls would be my last recommendation, maybe ds2 but they’re both contenders for that position.

Elden Ring is my new favorite game. I got it a few weeks ago and it has tied with Skyrim for my favorite games of all time. Im watching playthroughs of the other titles to learn more about the game and lore. I know there "not connected" but there's too much that ties in with the other Fromsoft games. Like its a prequel and the endings are what turned into Souls, Bourne and...brain fart but you get what im saying.

I only got into Souls games recently because I remember from right back when Demons souls came out I was thinking, this is just not for me, I love the art design but I work too damn hard and my time is just too important to have it wasted on being killed by a boss a hundred times just to 'git gud'. I am so glad that I ended up giving Bloodborne a try recently and that it was my first Souls game! Its supposedly one of the hardest games but man, its not THAT hard and getting good isnt some huge boring job it just means playing the damn game and learning the moves. As for most of the bosses, I would usually beat them on the second or even first try as long as I kept my attention on my surroundings. That being said, I may have beaten orphan of Kos on my first attempt but two damn shark men down a well or a couple of bloody winter lanterns down a tunnel and I'm there for the next week! 😄

My play order went with Sekiro (personal favorite, 100% completion), Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3. Played all of this throughout 2024. The order I’ve done so far has been pretty solid. I started with Elden Ring, then did Bloodborne which did a great job of showing off the range of FromSoft while still being also fairly polished. From there I went for the DS1 remaster, which is definitely worse graphics and a lot rougher gameplay, but the combo of ER and BB made me appreciate it enough to get through it anyway. Now I’m on to DS2. I also tried Sekiro a bit after BB, but bounced more due to time constraints than any difficulty issues. I’m thinking I’ll get back to it after I finish the DS trilogy, but I think it’s probably a reasonable follower to BB if you didn’t have too much trouble with the difficulty level of BB.

The best part of elden ring is theres always somewhere to go and mini bosses to fight before taking on a more difficult challenge
@fornatrongaming5 ай бұрын
That is 100% the reason why those mini bosses exists. And it is very difficult to design unique bosses, that is why the basic dungeon and catacomb mini bosses are usually just enemy NPC's with a boss healthbar. But their main purpose is to provide runes for players so they can level up and take on the main story bosses.

Hey Fornatron, I'm getting my Dark Souls Trilogy today. Which part would you play first? A little info about me: I have the platinum trophy for Bloodborne, Elden Ring and Demon Souls. I'd like to play through all three games using your guide. Are your guides designed so that I only have to play through them once to get the platinum trophy or should I pay attention to something?
@fornatrongaming6 ай бұрын
@@Cro_Lex the Platinum trophies for the Dark Souls games are significantly more difficult to get than 3 that you have. Each game will take multiple playthroughs and LOTS of grinding for rare covenant item drops. None of my guides are 100% platinum guides. So if you want the platinum you have to playthrough the game and use NONE of the boss souls, because you will need them to craft boss weapons and get certain sorceries or miracles. Dark Souls 1 isn’t too bad. But Dark Souls II and especially Dark Souls 3 are brutal. Good luck!

I think it really depends on how much time a person has available, and how into it they are after the first game (since they can quit at any time). The better games near the top of course (but not in order of best to worst) Because of that would recommend: 1) Dark souls 3 or Bloodborne 2) Elden ring 3) DS3/bloodborne (whichever they didn't play 1st) 4) Demons souls ps5 5) dark souls remastered 6) sekiro (brutal game for new players, can't farm levels for health points) 7) dark souls 2 (and scholar of the first sin). Dark souls 2 was really good during the year that the DLC was coming out, because the co-op and PVP were extremely active. It's fallen off a lot as people have left the online game. I myself played them all in order of original releases, quite a few times.
@stussy4 Жыл бұрын
i played em in order as they released, but I would agree thats not the best for newcomers. ds1 has so many dick riders but truth is, compared to most modern games, it feels and looks so fucking clunky... newcomers should 100% start with elden ring or ds3 for the least jarring experience. also people in the comments gotta get off the ds2 hate train, its a really solid game thats honestly equal to or better than the others in some ways

I definitely agree with you that Elden Ring should be the first game for newcomers. It’s the most recent, most complete and there’s still a lot of new content about it online. Then my list in order would go: DS3, Bloodborne, DS1 Remastered, Sekiro, Demon Souls Remake, And then DS2 if you want.
