This game fails to deliver proper quest progression. It desperately needs a tracker considering how big the map is. This is the only Fromsoft game that needs a ubisoft quest and level design. If i have to look everything up then this game failed to deliver in that aspect.

You could just see the time, work and effort the creator of this made just to give us a less hard time playing one of the most soul crushing games ever. Me, personally, I've never played a Dark Souls game, but this guide really showed me how fun (and not fun 😂) these games can be. I only discovered this halfway through my current playthrough, which is my first one. I must say, I've seen guides on a single boss that are literally almost the length of this video. I've seen videos that are 20 minutes long only teaching how to get to Margit, while you've literally crammed all the mandatory bosses into one half an hour video. That's half an hour well spent. In my case for mandatory bosses, I went from Margit to Godrick to Rennala to Draconic TS to Radahn. And now I'm trying to fight the first Godfrey in Lyndell. While I might be over leveled for him (around level 85-90), I'm really bad at dodging all of the sudden, and I think I'm gonna try to do this order now.

Bro I can’t tell you how much this vid helped. I almost gave up on this game I kept getting lost and beating bosses I def wasn’t ready for and just couldn’t find the way to the actual main bosses. Love how it’s mainly spoiler free and straight to the point. I beat all from soft games dems ds1-3 bloodborne but this open world definitely confusing I get they want you to explore but in my experience exploration gets me nowhere I end up lost and not knowing where to go which is definitely my fault for not being able to be like “oh I haven’t been on this part of the map” and instead go “yeah I been there nothing was there” when I did infact never went there

i noticed Ofnir was just standing there when i walked in the first time i fought him so i used his talking time to my advantage and one shot him with azurs comet (i use a physick that gives me 10 seconds of free cast time and extra magic damage as well as a spell that makes a zone i do extra magic damage in)

this is the exact guide I used to navigate through the story. I did some of the side quests and optional bosses too before I did the boss at the mountaintop of the giants. I've been getting beat up by the final boss for a few days lol

why did you add in mount gelmir? its not needed at all, you can go Godrick -> Rennala -> horse outside capital -> morgit -> fire giant -> hoarah loux -> final boss

Interesting, I thought the main boss at mount gelmir was a shardbearer that you need to kill to access the end.

@@ConCon no, all shardbearers are optional if im correct. you can literally just bee line straight from the starting zone to Leyndell if you want to, even Godrick + Rennala are technically optional. The only necessary bosses i think are Gideon, Morgott, Fire Giant, guy in crumbling Farum Azula, Hoarah Loux + final boss

Even if you could, Rykard is SUPER fun and one of the best bosses in the game. It would be a shame to skip him.

@@slooser you need to kill two shardbearers to get into leyndell. if you don't have two shards then the yellow fogwall by the Tree Sentinel (20:34) is white and tells you that you need two shards to enter.

at what level range do you suggest to do for all the areas? I have jst started and beat Margit and have done weeping peninsula, currently I am at lvl30.

Honestly I’d hang out there until at least 45-50

You can find a map of the whole game with lvl ranges to each region by searching for "Recommended Level by Location | Elden Ring Wiki". Tho this isn't really needed. As long as you explore the areas you will be fine. If a location is too difficult just go somewhere else and come back later. You will have way more fun if you don't look things up in your first run.

Just experiment for yourself, I havent looked up anything on that matter and it is better so you have a sense of fear when yiu enter a new zone and it is good

If you explore enough you should be fine. But the best way to know is if you are in an area and you keep dying a bit too much, then you should level up more.
