Good video! I do suggest playing with each mask though to have an honest opinion. The Pro Axis has never fogged on me once, it is actually really breatheable. I've worn it for 2 hours straight on the field before too. You can also attach a fan to it for more circulation. That's important if you do scenarios. When your on the field you don't notice any echo either. #1 choice in my opinion.

Thanks for highlighting what you have and have not actually used. With masks, it certainly makes a difference. One thing I was hoping to see in this review is how 'wide' these masks make your head. I feel this is important because if you're properly looking out the side of your bunker, a wider mask will give your opponent an earlier notice of you peeking out.

Im not sure if Empire saw this but i had a event in 2010 which had foam i had to change every week. I bought a new one in 2012 and the foam had dramatically improved! Not had a single foam problem since. So either way..Well done empire for learning

I've had the Proto Axis for a while now and I've got to say its the best mask I have ever had!!! It is a small mask but not to the point where you have to worry about getting shot in the chin if you open your mouth too wide. The foam is the softest I have had in a mask and can wear it all day without irritation. Ventilation is great, rebreathing air is not a problem at all and it doesn't hinder your voice when talking to teammates. The only reason I got the i4 is to be in uniform with my team b

I use the I4. LOVE IT! Never had it fog on me once! Very comfortable! But it definitely is a small mask. I'm a girl so wearing it is no problem for me but I can definitely see how someone with a bigger head would have their forehead and chin exposed. I agree! If you are a smaller person: The I4 is definitely for you!

The E-Vent is built pretty well, it's the same as any mask- except, the foam is a thinner and more stretched out strip. So, when you pull your mask up, or down, it tugs on the foam and rips it off. I've had to replace the foam on mine atleast four times, I'm loving my Sly Profit now though.

Dye i3, VForce Grill, Empire E-Vents, JT Flex 8. Just about every one of these on the list. I've heard i4 might be a winner. It could be where I play. We play woodsball near a river bed with lots of lush cover that stays humid. I sweat about an hour in and that's when it gets bad.

Does the empire e vent fog up?? I'm trying to get a mask I went paintballing today for the first time and the rental mask fogged up like crazy! We're gonna go again but I'm just looking for a mask that doesn't fog up as bad

I'm a marshal so i bought the cheapest, decent gogs i could get my hands on and i ended up with V-Force armor. I love them, the do steam up a bit but that's always gonna happen with the cheaper gogs. I would definitely recommend V-Force if you're just starting.

I know this was made a long time ago ect ect. Just wanted to say as a guy with a large head and a lush head of hair I don't find the i4 to be small, I think it's about where it sits on your face, though I have my forehead showing I always wear a hat+ headwear anyway so there is no problemo :) great video none the less

I4s are the best mask IMO. It's so compact and close which makes it hella comfortable. Plus it looks the best out of all. I4 = Swag!

I think the Profit is an awesome mask. if you get shot anywhere other than the lens it will only bounce off, The venting is great and it does not feel like you are wearing a mask at all, it doesn't block vision it's super light and I wouldn't be able to fog it if i tried.

Sly Profit Can I remove the ear padding and use the padding from my headphones and put that on. that why there will be a hole in the center for hearing. but it will still be padded. and would you recommend the JT Flex 8 for woodsball/scenario.

I have the nightmare red v force grill mask with dark lens. Its a great mask that fits my bigger head and it doesn't fog up on me.

I have a bigger head too. But my problem with masks is that I have asthma so how is the breathing in it? Because from what I found it is a great mask.

I can breath quite easily thru it. The holes are smaller on the front but there are a lot more of them. Its just harder to see cuz the paint job.

the I4's work even with a bigger profile face as they are made to work in coop with you hopper. I use I4's and I'm a big guy, and I have no issues with them covering my face

I would say go with either the proflex or the grill, because the enhanced amount of ventalation will definately help you breath and help fight fog, and with the proflex you can buy the jt vortex II fan

Trust me, it is a good idea to have good mouth coverage. Once I was using a smaller mask and was about 25 feet away from 5 guys when I ran out of paint, so I just charged them yelling bonzai to make it fun for them but I got hit on the chin and it didn't stop bleeding until that evening. Oh well, we had a good laugh.

what should i get for a starter mask, im new and ive played like once but i want an anti fog mask that fits comfortably and looks cool and is red,doesnt matter if it look cool but i dont want it to be heavy and hard to keep up on my head,and i was wondering if every paintball mask fits on anyone cause i dont know if i need to get sizes or anything else?

@garrettainment well you can still use the Dye i4, you just might get more hits in the jaw or forehead. Masks like the Empire E-Vents are batter for a larger coverage area.
