What Parker Valby JUST DID To Katelyn Tuohy is INSANE!

This season has given Katelyn Tuohy a roller coaster experience - but on the track. She has had her fair share of wins and losses in the various races she competed in. After all, no athlete wins each event they compete in. Needless to say, all athletes know how to accept defeat - although they can’t always be graceful about it. But what #ParkerValby just did to #katelyntuohy is absolutely insane!
I’m not sure if this was a surprise or not, since, like I said, Tuohy won some races and lost some this season. In January, Katelyn won a new collegiate record. Sports journalist for NCAA Digital Stan Becton, through a tweet, expressed his wonder at the result of the competition. “OMG Wolfpack_TFXC’s Katelyn Tuohy ran 4:24.26 in the mile to break the NCAATrackField record at the Dr. Sander Invitational. The record was last set in 2009”
Then, in February, Katelyn received a #trackandfield 3K collegiate record. Katelyn Tuohy’s assault on the NCAA record books continued at the 2023 Millrose Games in New York City, as she was third in the professional women’s 3000, running 8:35.20 to shatter Karissa Schweizer’s previous collegiate record of 8:41.60. The performance was notably Tuohy’s second collegiate record in two weeks at the Armory.
In a post following the event, “Another fun weekend in New York! It was an honor to be able to compete at the 115th Millrose Games. Thank you all the love. It’s good to be home.”

Parker's a great runner and of course we all know Katelyn is too, put them together and anything can happen. Remember Parker ran with nagging injuries most of last year, hopefully that won't be the case this year. I've seen Katelyn not win before and she's come back stronger than ever! Best of luck to them both, hopefully they will both stay injury free, and remember this is at a time in their lives where there is usually a hundred different distractions.

Lets see, kt loses one races and you all think shes fallen to pieces. ? Parker has lost to kt too, but apparently she has not fallen to pieces, both athletes have many years of competition ahead of them, if they want it. I wish them both well, they are both great

I don't think it was Katelyn's objective to peak for Nuttycombe. Her goal is to peak in a couple of weeks at the NCAAs. Let's see what happens. After KT ran away with the ACC cross champs Norm Ogilvie said Parker can't take anything for granted.

Valby beaten soundly in two 5K races and one 6K race last year by Touhy. Suddenly, Valby has this insane ability to defeat Touhy on a course that Valby has never run before and even beat the course time. Wow. Maybe she had a little chemical help. I think she should have been tested for steroids.

Tuohy was so hyped when she was in H.S. I dont think shes falling apart but I was hoping for Olympic goals, she hasn't progressed like people thought. Girls peak early i guess.

I wonder why you take this view? Under no objective measure could a person claim that touhey hasnt performed exceptionally well in college. All of her times have improved dramatically since her hs career. Typically women peak as runners in their late twenties early thirties. She’s literally in the 0.0000001% of the world female population in running speed. 🤔

@@jdenmark1287 She was very hyped as the “next” runner for USA Olympic gold as a teenager, she’s one of three that I can think of since the 90’s. I think these hours training as a youth caught up. She’s not even the best female runner in college anymore. Sorry but college accolades mean nothing. If we judged her like we judge men in college sports then we would call her a bust. And you know it’s true. None of her times would beat the top Chinese runner, imagine the rest of the world.
