thanks ajahn brahm, I recently Sent Resignation Letter, My company were forcing us to work 30 minutes more without having solid reason for that, and once they forced us to work on Saturday as well for a month. So, i give resignation, I was put down by my parents as they thought i gave Resignation without seeking other job, but i was so tired, fed-up with office politics, Sometimes hardly manage to survive my ocd. 😭😭 Thanks, your talk gave me hope and confidence that i made right decision, being kind to myself.

i hate ritual tradition and feel uneasy to go the the temple sitting with monks asking questions but I can get to the heart of Buddhism from you and other monks on the internet. It's like i have the temple full with good monks in my own home.

When I was a kid, was a big deal to get new sneakers each year. They were $5. In my mid-20s I remember the day I heard someone made sneakers cost $100. What I see has happened in North America, only place I've lived, the fact some people can afford, or can put on credit card a $100 pair of sneakers, has broadsided people who "don't want $100 sneakers", because eventually, you can not find a $5 shoe. Please don't split hairs and say all the $5 shoes might exist. The point, it is hard and focused work, to live simply. To be allowed to live simply. Like a productive garden. Takes work, cultivation, and sharing of labor. Thank you Ajahn for sharing your labor.

The FWBO Ajahn Brahm mentions is the 'Friends of the Western Buddhist Order' now known as the Triratna tradition. There are Triratna Buddhist Centres all over here in the UK. I know there used to be a publisher in Cambridge that was managed by the Budhist Centre though it closed in 2015. Hopefully there are still other right livelihood companies still going ❤

Your beliefs define your behavior!
@brokenbikerr12 жыл бұрын
Your beliefs don't make you a better person, your behavior does. You showed them compassion, that is what counts. Teaching them your religion was not your task, showing you cared is all that mattered. Let go your doubts now & show yourself compassion.

Ajahn Brahmn I love your talks it has helped me immensely. But seriously why you talking about taking Americans guns away?
@Peace_And_Love422 жыл бұрын
Pretty simple. Buddhism principles teach us not to take life; guns are designed to take lives.
