There's a lot of pink here, which obviously factored into your picks. But it's making me wonder whether there's something inherent in the color pink that would make us associate it with Barbie and with these particular fragrances, even if they came packaged in different colors. That is, do we think of them as a "pink" doll and "pink" scents because we were influenced by the packaging . . . or did they get that packaging because they had a pink *quality* to them from the very beginning?

I’m picking Gucci Rush because it always smelled LIKE plastic dolls to me! But I had a little perfume dropper that came with Tropical Splash Barbie in the early 90s and I can still smell it in my memory LOL. My favourite barbies were Costume Ball barbie who gave Labyrinth vibes and Rappin Rocking Barbie who came with her own boombox.

For me the most Barbie perfume is Sedbury by PDM. It has tropical vibe and plastic feel to it. Very unique and expensive dna. It’s ‘not like other girls’ smell. After all Barbie has hundreds of professions, one of a kind creation.

Think strawberry shortcake doll, think those big scented balls on a cord with the face on, you get from the seaside! Stunning! Nuclear performance! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ paid like £56 - £60 on allbeauty. Im actually a doll collector so I have quite a few of my childhood collectors Barbies so I would say 2012 hope diamond barbie or 2019 Day of the Dead Barbie with the Millennial princess Barbie would be my favorites. Also being a doll collector, I'm familiar with that new doll smell, it just brings me back to when I was younger. I remember you mentioning in the Victoria's secret fragrance mist video that pure seduction is very Barbie which I agree with as well as Viva La Juicy Neon.

As a child, I didnt really get any Barbies...very few dolls at all actually. I had one Barbie for sure, a Romantic Bride Barbie...and a Ski Fun Midge. But as an adult, I bought a few new Barbies, both made to move, mermaid, and extra. And some old 80s-90s that I cant really ID from second hands. The perfumes I would associate with Barbie is almost all the Ariana Grande perfumes, specially Sweet Like Candy. I would really love, and maybe you do this or have done it already. When a purfume is discontinued if you give the top closest smelling alternatives. Moschino Glamour was my lifetime favourite fragrance and I haven't been able to find anything close. Prada Paradoxe is my current fragrance and I like it but not like Glamour was (for me).

I’m old so my Barbie was “Jewel Secrets” Barbie, I believe she came out in 87 or 88. I got her for Christmas 1988 and it was perfection. Her jewels would change color with a dial and her gown skirt was also a handbag. I adored her so much that I bought a vintage NIB that I found on EBay.
