This was a really good and informative video. Another thing to note is that you can also grade a low value card if it has some kind of sentimental value to you and you think it will look good in your collection. It's a great way to protect the card.

I bought a handful of PSA graded card off eBay, NHL cards and 1 Pokemon card. I have never sent in any cards to PSA to be graded. Something I have heard about PSA is, if they grade a card in a PSA 10. And if the company/grader feels like this card can or will sell at a very high price, PSA will hold the card and ask for more money for insurance purposes.

I just sent some in to PSA on a special. You are going to pay $20 per card with a minimum order of 10 cards, ($200) plus subscription if you do not already have one. Sometimes it is not worth sending them in to grade them depending on the market.

Nice video! I have all holos from the WOTC sets including neo destiny, from the e-series I only have a bunch. They’re all mixed, some are 1st editions, some unlimited print, some are in good condition and some are mint. My idea was to get them all graded and have the full vintage holo sets with graded cards in cases, even though they won’t get all the 9 or 10. Do you think it’s a good idea?
@pokenav_4 жыл бұрын
It’s not necessarily an easy answer my man. It all boils down to what you bought them for, the grade they may potentially come back and what they are selling for at that grade. You might be in a unique position if you try to sell them all as one exclusive lot, but that may also take time to find the right buyer.
@juicycardz4 жыл бұрын
PokéNav Thanks for your answer! Basically I want to get them graded for myself to enjoy them for a couple of years and maybe sell the holo sets in the future at a decent price, of course an estimated PSA6 „Here comes Team Rocket“ holo from unlimited print would not be worth grading at first sight but if I can sell the whole holo set with graded cards it might look different. There are certainly some prime cards in my lot too like the shining charizard or 1st edition tyranitar from neo discovery in very decent shape. Besides that I do also invest in sealed products, so the risk is spread!

PokéNav Future will show if it was smart, it’s definitely heavily expensive. 😂 But I‘m pretty confident I’ll get a good return on investment within a couple of years. By the way, do you believe the sealed WOTC products will continue to get more expensive or will there be a crash at some point when there is not that interest anymore in Pokémon in general?
@intergalacticdegengypsy61354 жыл бұрын
@@juicycardz the interest in Pokemon won't go away anytime soon, if anything sw/sh has given new life to the Pokemon co. So wotc I believe will continue to rise, not to mention things like inflation will instantly add value to any asset and the whole world is gonna be hitting a huge inflation (if the economy survives) after this whole pandemic thing has quelled

Can somebody tell me would you grade cards only for immediate sales? Say you have a card that you want to sell in 5 years because the price will go up, should you grade it now and sell it in future or grade it in 5 years then sell? Also factoring in that a company like PSA potentially might not be around anymore in future so am assuming that means a card in the slab would appreciate even more if that were to ever happen. Yes I am new to grading lol
@Ghlowy3 жыл бұрын
If have the finances do it now, even if PSA is gone in 5 years you can always send it to the new company for cross grading and get it re-slabbed. It’s also more protected in the slab.

What are the types of things to look for with these modern textured cards like zard Vmax, gold zacian v, etc? I'm guessing there are different things to look for, like I can't see any print lines on my zard Vmax but I'm sure that it's more so the texture hiding any imperfections, looking to get a bunch of stuff graded soon so any advice on these cards would be appreciated, thanks mate keep up the great content
@pokenav_4 жыл бұрын
Everything remains the same as with older cards, the difference is it's more difficult to determine the centering on the front of the card. To get an estimate you will have to look at the bottom left and right-hand sides along with the bottom. The top of the card is tough because the image is spread across it. For the surface, you are really looking for scratches or smudges rather than print lines.

@pokenav_4 жыл бұрын
From what I can see that card is going for about $120 in a PSA 7 (that's the lowest grade I could find). So I would imagine in a PSA 4 it would probably go for around $40-$60. Might be better off just selling it as a raw card, but that all depends on how much you bought it for.

Another Great video! Keep up the great work! I've got a question for you. I have an opportunity to buy a large bundle of 2009 Victory Medal Pokemon Cards. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Cards and half of them are already graded. I tried looking everywhere but I couldn't find the print run on these cards. I think that is important to know the print to know how limited it is. They are asking $200 per graded and $100 ungraded. But they might go a little lower actually.. Do you think its worth buying at that price and trying to flip them quick or do you think I could hold them and they will go up or what? I could really use your advice or anyone else's if they are willing to give their input Ofcourse I do plan on grading all the ungraded cards to potentiel double up on that. Also they are only willing them all as a lot. Thank you
@pokenav_4 жыл бұрын
These cards are very unique in that they are similar to trophy cards, but not nearly as exclusive. I had to do some research on them as my knowledge for them is fairly limited. From what I could find they were awarded to winners of smaller regional tournaments called Battle Roads both in Japan and North America. Personally I think if they will go for under $100 for ungraded cards, that’s the route I would take. It appears that many of those 2009 cards are going for around that $100 mark ungraded on EBay. The 2005 cards are significantly more, so I would grade them off slowly and allow the value to climb just as the 2005 cards have done.
