Haven't heard a lot about the extra rest KC is afforded, big plus this time of year to have 2 full days. I understand how people outside of KC can question the Chiefs, or even Mahomes. When it's playoff time, Mahomes time, it's hard to figure people thinking of him as an underdog, you know he loves that. Getting over 400 yards on the 4th coldest game in history can't be over-stated, the dude is ready to go. He could barely walk normal all playoff games last year and won a SB. In the nut busting cold last week he looked like he was 20 again and had fresh legs. One of the few times he's been healthy going into the playoffs so it should be fun, the weather in Buf on Sun looks balmy.

No one is talking about the extra day for the Chiefs for a couple reasons, one because Buffalo has home field advantage. But probably (most likely) is because the Chiefs had the shortest rest period between games in the whole league. They had an average 6.2 days between games, while opponents also had longer breaks before facing the Chiefs, with multiple teams coming off of Byes before facing them. League tried to stack the deck and it almost worked this year. Really the only reason it worked out in the Chiefs favor was all the injuries, Rodgers, Burrow, Herbert ect.

What pops out to me? That KC even when it's looking sketchy, injured, has no WR, run game disappears....they seem to still find ways to win. The Bill's perpetually do this strong late push, early playoff success then flop. It's a bad situation for Buffalo. But luckily the Chiefs offense has been extra poor the last month and a half and McDermott has been on fire with his defensive play calling. @@dre32pitt You're making the mistake of thinking that all targets are equal. His targets during the first half of the season were mostly bubbles and short out routes into the flat. It wasn't until later in the season after he had gotten those plays under his belt that they started expanding the route tree that he was allowed to run. Along with getting a few more targets during the game, his targets have expanded to 5-10 yards down the field. On top of that, Patrick has started to throw the ball his way on 3rd down. That's another important difference. When he gets targeted on down and distance is just as important, because it demonstrates the level of trust that he has in that receiver.

Fun fact there is no guarantee that TD would have been the gaming winning TD. Allen would have had over 1 min and timeouts to drive the field. He has been known to do it so to assume that KC would have won is nuts. Lets also not forget that KC could have been called for an illegal formation besides Toney being offsides so 2 fouls by KC occured on that play.

Rice at WR has gotten better every week as the season has moved on and Kelce has looked more like his old self in the last few games. Buffalo is banged up but should have most of their players on the field. Will it be enough to beat Buffalo I think so, but we will find out Sunday.
