What puts the Cavaliers closer to a title: Darius Garland returning to All-Star form or trading him?

The Cleveland Cavaliers remain steadfast that they're not interested in breaking up the Core 4 this summer by trading Darius Garland or Jarrett Allen. The team lost to the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals this year. To get to that championship level, things need to change, but what. ESPN's Brian Windhorst said recent comments made by general manager Koby Altman have teams rethinking their pursuit of the Cleveland Cavaliers guard.

Isn't there a one for one that would bring back equal value for D.G.? IDK why there is an insistence that we're going to trade him and get back role players draft picks? If all we can get is that kind of grab bag, Altman is absolutely right to stand pat. We don't want a rerun of the Kyrie Irving trade! If we can get a bigger wing that will consistently hit the corner 3, defend well, attack close-outs. and be a 15-18ppg starter, then, yes, pull the trigger. For those who say DG won't garner that kind of return, I would remind them that an all star point guard who can hit threes and average close to 10 APG is the single most valuable role in the entire NBA game today. There is no reason to push the panic button. And other teams have won with one small guard, just not two.

Once again, the team was 17-1 without Garland, so that statistic alone proves that without Garland, we were fine. But once he returned to the starting lineup, we lost 18 of our last 31 games to close the season because in most of the games, when the team needed him in clutch moments, Garland never showed up and showed out.
