@@slackerofhell I get your point but CP3 injured is not the reason why they couldn't win just one game to close the series. @@Uchawibeatz Harden might have been the best player but CP3 was definitely the leadership role. Rockets fan here. What happened was Morey and the front office catered to everything Harden wanted from 2013 onward and it turns out Harden isn't a good GM. They brought in everyone he asked them to bring in that was plausible. He then ran them off because it is a pattern where the other stars got tired of Harden not committing the way they felt he needed to(i.e. hitting up the strip club during playoff series' or slacking off in practice... Etc). He was given the keys to the city and the fans faithfully backed him. Then it became apparent Moreyball and Harden couldn't break through the championship barrier and they started to pivot away from letting him run the team. After that he basically threw a fit and forced the trade. Any goodwill he built up with Houston fans was burned up in HOW he left. The fact that they're doing so terribly now is evidence that he wasn't wrong but if he was gonna opt out, Rafael Stone could've tried to start building a different team instead of cobbling together a hodge podge small ball roster to entice Harden to buy in.

It's funny to think Howard was right. They may have done better in the regular season with Harden dominating the ball, but it historically hasn't worked well during the playoffs. They would have done better having a more balanced offense

They were the only team capable of rivalling the invincible Durant Warriors. So yeah, even though they didn't win, they are one of the greatest.

Durant, Irving, harden are all star players I can appreciate, but would never consider consummate teammates i guess that’s why they have each other that’s nice.

As a Houstonian, I can tell you that Chris Paul's injury in the playoffs was a death blow to the entire franchise and fanbase. Harden should have never been our primary option and Houston management created a monster by making him the focal point of the offense.

casuals say they gave him everything they asked.....yeah let’s not act Russell Westbrick isn’t a team cancer. that’s why he won’t win a ring as a first option

I'm a Houston fan and that front office did give him everything. Harden couldn't deliver when it counted. Always go hard in the regular season but that playstyle not winning championships
@xaviorbufkin72503 жыл бұрын
@@supermanrun2313 finally a realist. Have yo agree with both of you in a way. Both Westbrook and harden will never win a championship sadly as a okc fan I would like to see both win a ring.
@ganeshs85223 жыл бұрын
@@supermanrun2313 well, the front office had gave him everything they had, but the other teams competing were just better. We would've won in 2018 and 2019 if not for the warriors.

D12 wasn't humble and we all know that his style of ball, like Carmelo's, was going extinct So that was never going to work with that attitude CP3 nearly worked, and had he not got injured, I believe they would be champions Westbrook couldn't work, with hindsight But to be fair, they played very well in the season, but seemed to have a depression in the Bubble The Rockets weren't there, just like the Clippers But they probably still would have lost to LBJ, AD and the Lakers anyway 😮 Both the Lakers and Warriors were pretty stacked teams that the Rockets kept losing to Give Harden those teams and he would have won too I don't agree that Harden really got whatever he wanted He didn't get prime D12, or healthy CP3, or Prime Westbrook But history isn't kind to those without a ring 🪞
