I still think if Chris Paul didn't get injured the Rockets would've made the finals. We'll never know what could've been.
@Uchawibeatz3 жыл бұрын
Yeah right. Same Chris Paul was healthy in 2019 and GSW had no KD. They still lost, the Rockets with Harden were never destined to win.
@slackerofhell3 жыл бұрын
@@Uchawibeatz that was a year later, though. Things change in the course of a year. Look at the Raptors when Kawhi left. Championship with him, 2nd round without, now they'll suddenly be lucky to make playoffs two seasons later. Shit happens, man.
@Uchawibeatz3 жыл бұрын
@@slackerofhell I get your point but CP3 injured is not the reason why they couldn't win just one game to close the series. They blew a double digit lead in both games 6 and 7, they shot terribly especially in Game 7 ,0-27 from 3. CP3 was never the best player on that team Harden was. The system around him would have never worked even Kobe said it.
@slackerofhell3 жыл бұрын
@@Uchawibeatz Harden might have been the best player but CP3 was definitely the leadership role. The team fell apart without him and when they got their asses kicked the next year it was because the team was basically fractured by then. You could tell both CP3 and Harden didn't like each other. Whenever Harden was off ball he barely tried. He'd walk up the court when CP3 was handling.
@slackerofhell3 жыл бұрын
@@Uchawibeatz although I do totally agree with you. They couldn't shoot worth shit in game 7. Absolutely abysmal. CP3 being in wouldn't have fixed terrible shooting. So I agree with that. But I think him going down killed morale. Just my thoughts on it.

Harden's iso game will never work in the postseason as the lead player, which is why he always played under his season averages. It's only going to on the Nets when he has two other superstars that will allow him to work more one on one and not have the defense collapse on him. It's the Rockets coaching fault to never counter it. When Paul was here, he needed the ball more in his hands.

But not having CP doesn't excuse blowing huge leads and shooting like trash. MVPs are supposed to close games. Harden is the Karl Malone of the era. Need a big win? Get that dude off the floor. If he's lucky he will do like Clyde Drexler and rely on another superstar to get him his ring, Clyde had a few ugly collapses as well before 1995. If he's not lucky, he will be in that Webber/Malone/Ewing and I include Paul category of amazing talents who have the Loser Gene in their DNA.
