That's a solid explanation about panel changes, memories and Alternate realities. Mikasa was a central character is all realities and Ymir was seeing her choices she makes to make alternate realities. Hiwever, Mikasa OVA reveals that no matter what she does, she can't save Eren.

@@MangaHorse yes please... It got unnecessary hate from many people(excluding some people who just want their headcannons) .... I hope your videos will be a sliver lining in the dark clouds... And I liked how you mentioned that not only Eren but everyone's fate was sealed from the start in AoT.... Most people just thought that Eren was the only person who was slave to his destiny... But it was because we/Eren saw his future.... You are the only youtuber I have seen who has mentioned this that AoT has a world like that of the movie "Predestination".... @@MangaHorse yeah your perspective is actually very interesting... I liked it very much😁✌🤘... I think it might be the writing from Isayama too as he said that she would be the centerpiece of the story, so he might have thought about that too.... I liked it but I think that the universe doesn't create some individuals who are capable of doing that in real life... Although I want it to happen.... Aaahhhh😫... I know AoT world is a fantasy but it's so realistic that I am confused😂😂... To sum it up, I wouldn't and wouldve never considered that if you didn't mention it😁✌🤘.... After our last conversation, I decided to take a look at this video and oh my! The way how you described time and universe as separate entities got me thinking! Most of the times in nowadays, peoples often use "alternate universe" and "alternate timeline" as each other's synonym. But Attack on Titan reminded us that they are not the same! However, this also got into the way of alternate timelines that function as branches that spawn out of the original timeline of each universe as well. So I would like to see if you can reconcile the idea of "time and universe are not the same" with the idea of "alternate timelines that are originated from the original timelines as its branches" as well. Unless it is impossible to solve and can only be stated as merely a misunderstanding concept by us humans, I would like to see if it is possible or not to reconcile these two concepts. And since you basically described it as "what that is going to happen depended on what Eren seen after he kissed Historia's hand" as a way of determining the unchangable future in Attack on Titan because what the wielder of Attack Titan witnessed is considered as experiencing it as happening right at that moment, is it possible that if Eren saw the fragments of the soldiers of Survey Corps participated in the Marley Mid-East War along with the troops of the Mid-East Allied Forces, the defection of Zeke and the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers by sabotaging the battle for Marley to lose to gain the Allies' trust, Marley ended up being forced to surrender as the direct result of Paradis' intervention and the Partition of Marley by the Allies, it means these events are going to happen anyway and no matter what Marley tried to do, it will not change anything. I asked you about this because this video has finally given me the way out to explore what could have been in the certain universes in the vast multiverse of Attack on Titan since it is depending on what each Eren saw in their realities. And if you are interested, would you like to explore one of these universes with me?
@MangaHorse
@MangaHorse 2 жыл бұрын
Oh thank you my friend, I appreciate you watching and I’m happy you found it interesting About the timelines, I have a problem with calling it branches coming out of a tree because that makes them feel like “secondary” realities, which they are not, they are as real as this reality, only things there happen differently in the future but ALSO positively in the past. They have points that cross, like Eren touching Historia, but like I said and you mentioned, in each reality Eren should see something else, and yes, whatever he sees will undeniably happen in the future. And that’s why I didn’t refer to them as branches but as giat circles, all spinning while touching each other in a certain point. And I theorized that point is the Mikasa of each of those realities. For now we saw our reality, the cabin reality, and Mikasa’s OVA reality Those are the “canon” realities to explore for now
@lerneanlion
@lerneanlion 2 жыл бұрын
@@MangaHorse Just so you know, this simply made me believe that out there in the multiverse, there are a portion of realities where Paradis joined the Allies and change courses of the histories of their worlds for the better. To say that there are none basically just stated that "enemy of my enemy is my friend" is a meaningless phrase. And there is no way that can be real. So yeah, I still believed in that. And no offesne, you seemed to be just wanting to explore the realities that have been offered to see at the moment instead for looking for more possibilities out there. Also, I do not think Mikasa has blood relations to the royal family or anything. I think it's just her Eldian bloodline from the Ackermann is being mixed with that of the Azumabito Clan that given her the immunity to other things the normal Eldians have to go through. Speaking of which, haven't you found it strange that all Eldians can be transformed into Titans? Isn't this supposed to be something limited to just the direct descendants of Ymir Fritz in the royal family? Sure, I saw a lot of princes that have beautiful female concubines. But that answered nothing at all. heck, it given more questions as why these Eldian Princes will discarded their concubines who are pregnant with their children in the first places?
@MangaHorse
@MangaHorse 2 жыл бұрын
You seem upset by my answer I never said that there isn’t a possible different realities out there I just said we only saw 3 different “canon” ones in our story You are free to believe in whatever possible scenario that may happen there. I just explained the science behind the possibility of those realities…but I never tried to actually explain them. I just addressed the 3 we were shown Mikasa is a close descendent to Ymir’s daughters … She said it herself “because of the life you created, here I now stand” And if it was simply her ackerman blood then Levi would be just like her and Ymir would have been able to contact him as well Her uniqueness comes from a certain mix that I also explained in that same video you watched and we are talking about. It’s in the Mikasa chapter
@lerneanlion
@lerneanlion 2 жыл бұрын
@@MangaHorse I am not actually upset with you. And I am sorry if you felt that way. But this is more of I see people complained this and that about the ending or even season 4 in general. I just do not like the fact that they only complained but did not try to find the solutions themselves. And when some people did it for them, they either take them as jokes or try to back the whole "Marley and the rest of the world are justified" up instead. I am sorry that I sort of lumped you together with those people. Really, I mean it. But that's my point. I don't get why people complained but do not wanted solutions sometimes.

At the Dina scene, i feel like Armin actually stopped Eren from finishing the sentence about Bertholt's situation by gripping his hand harder, because he instantly understood what he was about to be said, so he tried to take Eren's mind away from the traumatic event. Maybe the anime will make this clear, if it's even the case. cuz i might be 100% wrong 😂

@@MangaHorse finished the video, it's so well explained (as usual) and honestly knowing that Eren felt all of the memories makes it even terrifying, like he have already experienced the rumbling, the genocide, that's why he broke down apologizing to those money saving kids(and probably the grieve sasha death too) but didn't exactly know the chronicle order or cause of the events and that's why when Sasha actually died, he laughed at fate as he can't change the future. And the cabin scene I also thought the same that it's different reality. Well we can now at least imagine a reality with Eren and Mikasa lived happily, and cope with the pain.

If he couldn’t figure out what choice could alter the future, why didn’t he just not do the rumbling? That was a pretty big crossroads sort of scene. If he saw himself starting the rumbling, why didn’t he just choose to not do it. I think he felt as if the future was futile because he didn’t WANT to change his decisions because they would’ve gone against his ideals and go against his own convictions. Did he just get tired of fighting and give into the future he saw or did he just realize that all the choices he would logically make would lead to such an atrocity? Or am I just silly and missed something. Thanks for providing a new perspective on Armin’s gratitude. It always confused me because he calls Eren a mass murderer right before so it felt like Isayama was leaving us in ambiguity over if genocide was bad or good. I didn’t get why would he have Hange condemn genocide and outright state that their fallen comrades would want them to oppose genocide - including Erwin. So i just really appreciate this perspective shift.
@MangaHorse
@MangaHorse Жыл бұрын
Happy I could provide different perspective 😊 About your question, he couldn’t do that for the same reason I mentioned…he didn’t know what his future self did…Maybe his future self actions happened BECAUSE future Eren tried to prevent it? Maybe that was thr trigger…and Just like I explained in the video Eren had no way of knowing what happened in between. Another thing, I have a big issue with people calling it global Genocide for 2 reasons. 1st. The word Genocide was never present in the Japanese text, it is only in the translation in english. 2nd. There is no such thing as Global Genocide! Genocide is the act of singling out a SPECIFIC ethnic group, or a country. Deciding they don’t deserve to live. Eren didn’t discriminate against people skin color, beliefs or country. He targeted everyone equally which is the one thing you will NOT find in genocide…equality! His actions actually have a different name, and I talked about and explained it here, if you are interested 🙏 kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5vCZaucqJl5lcU

17:30 “Eren directed Dina away from bertoldt so that the [time loop] wouldn’t change” Isn’t that Erens goal though? To be free? Wouldn’t he intentionally stop the time loop (bc he knew that letting Dina eat Bert would save his mom)? By redirecting Dina to his mom, he continued the cycle which caused him all his pain and stripped any semblance of freedom.
@MangaHorse
@MangaHorse 2 жыл бұрын
That’s a good question and it touches the subject of determinism AND physics. The “simple” answer is that he couldn’t NOT do that, even if he wanted, simply because that event already happened. in a sense,some version of Eren has already lived that moment and did the same…this result will forever be the same, and it will keep playing this way over and over (Casual loop) theoretically, If OUR Eren would have done something differently that would translate into a different/alternate reality…because in this current reality the past, present and future are already set in motion, and that is directly because our Eren witnessed glimpses of his future (medal ceremony) that solidified everything I know it’s pretty complicated, so I hope I didn’t make it more complicated after this comment 😅 Thank you so much for watching my friend 🙏

i think eren was too held onto the outcome of the rumbling that he wouldn't ever are disrupt that even if it meant saving his mom.
@MangaHorse
@MangaHorse 2 жыл бұрын
That is correct, But I’ll just add something…he wasn’t waiting for the actual rumbling BUT for “that sight” that he once saw in a distant future memory. In order to get to that outcome he had to do what he did. Eren knew the outcome of Mikasa’s choice (he said it himself) but he didn’t know the exact steps to get there or what her decision was, this is why he did everything he thought is necessary to get to that desired point

I personally feel that Paths is now gone as well. Mainly because the vision Hanji had when they died, of Erwin and all their friends saluting them was a near-death hallucination, according to Isayama, and not an actual after life. Isayama is a very secular person, so I don't think he would keep that aside the Paths shenanigans that only Eldians experienced. However, I think most interpretations, like yours, are valid (except for reddit bros that actively go against Isayama) because the story, like any work of fiction, is subjective. Once again, thank you for this awesome video!

Ok so I have watched your video twice. It’s incredible. The amount of work you put into it and the time you took to process all the information is breathtaking. You covered the most important part of the chapter with an impressive and reasonable explanation. Also your editing skills improved so much. Really I was amazed by how original and unique you presented your ideas. I had to wait a long time but it was worth it ! Clearly the best video you ever made so far. You can be proud. It may not get as many views as you wish but you did it for the sake of SnK, for your geniune love to the show. I wish we had more work like this in the anime community. True analysis and breakdown of what is really happening. Also, how is your health’s condition going right now ? Regarding your review. Your conclusions resonate with me a lot since I had the same conclusions on almost everything you mentioned ! It strengthens my interpretation/hypothesis since you are someone that I do respect and acknowledge the work’s quality. I do agree with the casual loop/eternalism analysis (Well its confirmed at this point of the story anyway) + the fact that Eren isn’t free (I would even say that free will doesn't exist in this specific case). He is just a slave to destiny because events can’t be changed. But Eren is also an expression of freedom, An excessive form of freedom that annihilates everything on his path because Eren was born this way (from the genuine desire Grisha infused in him. Wishing a bright future for his son). Eren is a mixture of both internal and external forces. And he fell in love with the true embodiment of freedom… which is Mikasa. Mikasa is the freest person in this world. Her choices lead to the end of the titan’s era and allowed Ymir to be free. Some stuff I really liked about what you said : -The small detail about King Fritz having a “path tree” chair ; -How you connected “everything happens at the same time” to the sight Eren saw chapter 121 and linking Eren’s childish vision of freedom in chapter 14 (an empty world) to adult Eren subconsciously wanting to replicate this “sight” without knowing why in chapter 139 (scene with Armin) ; -Eren's essence made one with all living things ; -You did a really good job at explaining Eren’s, grisha and Ymir’s psychology. Also regarding Armin thanking Eren. You are right. Isayama talked about it in his last interview and said that Armin didn’t approve Eren’s action obviously but since Armin benefited from the massacre he wanted to say goodbye to Eren by telling him he is also an accomplice somehow. -Eren saying good bye twice (2 differents Eren + the bird signifying the end of the scene) Your guess about Miksasa having royal blood… It may sound crazy and far-fetched but I also agree. I actually had the same opinion and talked about it with Sofia and some friends. But I think about it for other reasons...I didn't even made the connection with the "thanks to the lives you gave birth to, here I now stand". For me this sentence made no sense until now. Omg it was right in front of my face ! You know it but Isayma talked about the mix between royal blood and Ackerman. He said it would both reflect equally. Also, in chapter 50 it would explain why Eren was still able to control the titans even though he wasn’t in contact with Dina Fritz anymore. But with Mikasa on his back (who is like a little royal blood titan) it would make sense. Also I do think that the backstory of the shogun focused a lot on the “good relationship” he had with the royal family. And it would explain why it was so important to bring back Mikasa’s asian ancestry in chapter 107. It would also explain why both Historia and Mikasa have parallels to Ymir (ending 1 with Mikasa and ending 4 with Historia in the anime are very similar). And as you said this mixture of blood Mikasa is what makes her so special and why she was the only one being able to free Ymir. About the alternate realities. I also think it's similar to the many-worlds interpretation/Everett interpretation. The cabin scene is an alternate reality while Armin and Eren were in the path. Mikasa being « a bridge between realities » as you said. People tend to think Isayama gave up on logic for a "spiritual" approach while I think he just mixed both of it. It is just not that comprehensible for us right now and as you said the anime may clear things up with some original scenes not shown in the manga. Finally, something also really amazing about these last chapters that I want to point out is how many references/inspirations Isayama drew from other stories/art/history/philosophy/science while implementing it his way in his own story (without replicating it). The cultural symbolism underneath is beautiful. Thank you very much again for bringing this content to KZbin. I was really emotional watching your final thought of the chapter. We talked so much on discord and it will be forever good memories . It was an amazing journey my friend and everything is “still ahead of us” until the anime (or movie) finishes ! Edit : oh and I am glad I already watched Higurashi and Mirai Nikki because you would have spoiled me 👀

@@MangaHorse your video was a really nice one, though I had moved on from AOT months ago I really liked this video, and in the end I just think that the ending was not bad but really sad, Eren always wanted to be free but couldn't be, Mikasa always wanted to be with Eren but couldn't be, sooo many people died, and in the future titan powers ultimately came back. I always knew Eren was going to die but still hoped he would somehow live because I followed him from the start. Well I am still happy for Mikasa, at least she got to live a long happy life.

I too agree that Mikasa is the most free person in this world, you can see in the lost girls manga that she always had a choice to do whatever she wants, but in order to be free she literally had to be born with all these special bloods and royal ancestry, it reminds me of what Keith said, "Normal people can't change anything". People like Eren don't have any freedom of choice, which makes me sad as I myself is just a normal person born to a normal family with no extraordinary abilities.

I really love more Mikasa as a characeter after your explaination, she is the only one who has the connection to the alternate universe or realities of the other Mikasa. That's why our Mikasa in chapter 123 think what if that day she choose another answer when Eren asked her what am I to you. Also, I agree that the concept of time in AoT is not a matter of when but where because when Eren experienced all thing at the same time as you explained.

@18:05 sorry my friend but you are wrong. I said it before to you on discord and I will keep saying it again, Eren did that after he unlocked the full power of the founder, meaning he not only manipulated Dina (I told yah he would months earlier!) AND titan ymir to sleep for 60 years and wake up right where the warriors would be AND even manipulated that one titan who saves Zeke from dying. All after he paired up with Ymir inside the titan realm. A place time is endless, a place where Eren could in fact be connected to every titan and subject of ymir and change things as he pleases for as long as he need to.

Hey Sofia! 👋 😃 how are you? And about your comment, It’s a question of how you look at things, I guess we can look at it from several different perspectives
@sofiakaos5278
@sofiakaos5278 3 жыл бұрын
Hello, im well thank you. Perspective?? Okay then call it perspective, I always called it logic. Look, Eren could never have done anything with the founder before the vow of renouncing war was broken. The max we know he could do is erase memories right? This is facts mh. After breaking that vow and only after breaking it, both Eren and Zeke could meet with Grisha and finally make him do what he was meant to do all along, kill the reiss family. Eren even thanked zeke because if not for that he would never reach this path. And It was only after that event that Eren could send the memories he had always meant to recieve all along. By the way, during that whole chapter we also see how Eren and Grisha made even further contact prior to that day, like the day Eren told Grisha he would join the survey corps or the time where Grisha asked Eren why he wouldnt tell him if Carla would be okay moments before Grisha got to the church. When I told you Eren manipulated Dina back in 2020 I also followed logic and hey look, I was right about this.
@kartikprabhu4719
@kartikprabhu4719 3 жыл бұрын
@@sofiakaos5278 actually the vow could have been broken with Eren touching Historia too... He just didn't know how to operate... As you can see in 121, Zeke wanted to remove the "brainwashing" Done to Eren so he took him to memories of Grisha... But I think that it required the will of both Zeke and Eren since even Eren needed to persuade Grisha to take the founding titan powers.... For controlling Titans, Eren could even do that when he punched Dina Titan's hand... I think he could only control titans around them because Dina titan didn't have intelligence... At the time of medal ceremony, Eren since he touched a Royal blooded member he could see some timestamps and that in turn may have caused that... All I'm saying is his perspective may also be possible... But the thing is it doesn't matter when it was done😅
@sofiakaos5278
@sofiakaos5278 3 жыл бұрын
@@kartikprabhu4719 It does matter. Much more than you think. Why do you guys not question what is really important? Anyways, Young Eren, Grisha, Krugger and those who came before were actually following future Eren's "missions" all along and that was the BIGGEST take away from chapter 121 onwards but no one cared to notice or even mention it... And no, young Eren did not manipulate the titans after touching Dina's hand. All that happen was the future eren, that was already controlling Dina, made the other titans move in a way that would seem that younger eren was the one to make them move. Why? So the warriors reach out to zeke on the other side and tell him "eren YEAGER has the coordinate!" If this event didnt happen, Zeke would never hear about grisha having a son much less go look for him with such a plan like he does. Get what I mean? Can you follow my reasoning? Again, the time and place of every event in aot is of most importance because otherwise you will not understand the plot and the characters fully.
@kartikprabhu4719
@kartikprabhu4719 3 жыл бұрын
@@sofiakaos5278 oh ok... So you say that when Zeke and Eren had the contact and they broke the vow and when Eren had the full powers of the founder, he helped his younger self to control the titans at the exact moment when he punched Dina... It might be the case but then you are saying that nothing happened/happens if he touches any Royal blooded member/Royal blooded titan Or he just gets the memories by touching the Royal blooded member like Historia and Rod(NOTE - Didn't write Royal blooded titan shifter ie Zeke via which the vow could've been broken as said by Xavier)... And why did future Eren decide to control the titans only when Dina titan was punched... I mean Reiner only drew out the conclusion that Eren had the coordinate and for that if future Eren had to help his younger version why did he wait till the contact🤔... Just want to know your thoughts about this

Hi, is the concept of Causal time loop paradox similar to determinism? I saw another video explaining Eren's character from Invaderzz, idk if u know him but so far most of ur ideas and explanations about Eren's character and others are quite similar. I agree, I think the "worst" thing was to make her seem important (with having the baby) but then, like you said, make her look less important I believe she could have been used in a better way to the story, but this is of course just my opinion

*Here's why WE GOT THIS ENDING* Sources are *Lost Girls Ova* which is semi-canonized in my opinion because *IT IS SUPERVISED BY ISAYAMA HIMSELF* and *Chapter 137* Now, let's take a deeper look: "Mikasa ran too, but STAYED BEHIND HIM ON PURPOSE" What purpose? Because she doesn't Eren to give up on his dreams(The Outside World). Mikasa and Grisha's conversation is straight up connected and important to the plot. If Mikasa wanted to save Eren then it would mean forgetting about the "Outside World" he dreamed of. Curiosity < Nature Love > Hatred Which is basically the "Summary" of Eren's character. Other SOURCES: "No Matter Where You Are" and "Call Your Name"
