@@MangaHorse wow Manga Horse, hitting us with quality animation to enlighten our emotions!! I wanna say I really love that line because I feel the same way about Reiner. He could not accept losing the fight against the pure-turned-jaw Titan when the four kids initially invaded paradis, which, in hindsight, would've worked better for the planet entirely if they simply went back home, got in trouble, the warrior program would be questioned because they killed a kid, and honestly maybe even a peaceful interaction between the outside world would've resulted. But no. Reiner wanted to be a hero.. and sadly.. not knowing better, the butterfly effect resulted in the killing of the entire city he grew up in. Yeah, despite his actions he remained alive to see everyone he loves die because of his ignorance, but I don't really feel like he's at fault. But as the symbolic manifestation of Marleyan propaganda, a "Marleyan/American hero," he really prolonged the cycle of hate in the worst possible way, towards the extreme climax of Eren getting pushed so start the rumbling. Reiner moved forward, Eren moved forward. both raised by a society that lied to them and both thinking they were saving the world by fighting their "enemy," which is a term used by propaganda and military for violence where it really isn't necessary, especially considering how possible it is for people to get along without that mentality, just like Paradis did with their blissful ignorance. When two people like that come together, and they did, they're bound to realize that they're just humans doing good for themselves.. but unable to connect peacefully because of the history or propaganda. Though, because AoT is our story, we want Reiner to suffer just enough but because he isn't really a bad guy, he's getting to live it out alongside Eren to the end. The paths truly connected all the Titans to that final battle in that moment, one last time before Eren dies with 3 Titan abilities, and with no previous person dying that way, I wonder how those powers will be transferred. Indeed, Eren dying and losing the Founding Titan, Attack Tiran, AND Warhammer Titan, effectively ends the most powerful three Titan abilities that are also rooted in hatred. Systematic War (warhammer). Violence (attack).Manipulation (founding). 3/9 or 1/3 of the Titan abilities with no one next to inherit them. I think the remaining shifters can live long lives after Eren dies because he was the "devil" having all these powerful abilities that he desperately wanted to die with as many as possible to close the cycle of cannibalism. Crazy stuff here guys
@nachgeben3 жыл бұрын
@@Oddie99000 No. They would've likely fed all three kids to new candidates and repeated the attempt. We're talking about a country who sent wave after wave of scouting ships to the island and were surprised every time they didn't come back, only to send more. Reiner and Eren moved forward in a world incapable of moving forward. Marley's greed and hatred locked them in a cycle that they repeated over and over and over again, first started by the very people who oppressed them, and now they oppress. So no. No one would care that an Eldian child died on Paradis anymore than they cared when Grisha's sister was killed. Eldians were lesser than dirt to them. They would have destroyed all three children. Reiner would've been the priority, but as soon as they had viable candidates to replace the other two, they'd be gone. Reiner was no less valuable, no matter how they set him up through the other kids. He beat out HUNDREDS of children competing for those final slots of training. Likewise, the Warrior program continued even though Marcel died and Annie and Bertholdt were unaccounted for (as they didn't know what happened to either). It's clear that Zeke and Reiner got some real shit for the losses incurred, but because they had valuable information and had recovered the Jaw Titan, and no candidates were likely ready, they were given their titles. Titles that the candidates, other Warriors and Eldians could ooh and aah at, but ultimately meant nothing unless the Marleyan military felt like it. So in reality, Reiner made the correct call. Not just for himself, but for Annie and Bertholdt. Rather than be considered defunct products that couldn't operate in the face of adversity (the loss of the Jaw), they pressed forward and they operated to their highest capacity. He MITIGATED the punishment by forcing them all to stay. They lived longer than they would have had they gone home and got caught in the same cycle Marley was locked in.

I've had a similar theory since the chapter came out, I watched the OVA and actually, at 15:06, when Mikasa comes back to the "original reality", it's not really the original reality, before Mikasa goes on to live in another reality, when she's staring at the butterfly, notice how the pomegranate is intact? but when Mikasa comes back at the end of the OVA, the pomegranate is not intact (like the original anime), meaning this reality where Eren is a shifter, is also an alternate one. Mikasa is going through all the possible realities, but this is the final one, because after coming to this reality, she decides to live on even if Eren is dead, which is why I think this is the only reality that she is able to kill him (in chapter 138) because she already let go of him when she thought the Santa Titan ate him, this is the reality that breaks the loop. I tried looking for other people thinking the same thing but it's such a small detail I don't think many people noticed it, I'd like to hear your thoughts if you see this.

@MangaHorse3 жыл бұрын
Think about it this way The reason we don’t feel for Connie is because his pain was never in the center of things and he always kept smiling while in reality he lost his parent, 2 brothers, and his entire family and village in one day, and 4 years later also his best friend While he NEVER complained or cried about his family If you think about it, he lost everything but still didn’t lose his mind...and you know that in a different anime guys like connie that lose their families often lose their minds and become antagonists themselves, and from that aspect Connie is an extremely strong person, it’s a shame the story didn’t show it more, but I guess you can’t show everything 🤔
@HartlyLion3 жыл бұрын
@@MangaHorse Damn you're right, though there were some instances where Connie almost lost his mind, such as he tried to feed Falco to his mother Titan, and went berserk and shot Samuel multiple times in the face. That’s very interesting! My theory was that Ymir had a specific goal of freedom, and every time Mikasa and Eren failed to attain the ultimate goal, their reality was reset (like Groundhog Day) doomed to repeat it again and again and again until they finally were able to get it right and free Ymir. Every time a slightly different choice was made, Mikasa got a headache, and the dreams were visions of their many failed realities before. Since the attack Titan has time abilities, I think it makes sense.

I think I get this now. Basically, Mikasa’s choices are basically altering time itself. In the alternate reality, her wanting to see Eren more worsened her mother’s condition. Then when that desire went away, Eren died. Once she refused Eren’s death as part of reality, then Eren saved her in Titan form.

isnt it erens decision? him and mikasa both seem to have lived those timelines although im not too sure how much he remembers dureing the timeline maybe he only learns of the other timelines at certain points dureing the story so mikasa must act or do certain things to even ensure eren will get far enough to ever remember any of it, both kind of working in tandom to hopefully free the eldians and stop the conflict once and for all but in order to do so eren must die (as theyve lived every other outcome to no avail). I dont think that will kill the symbiote titan worm thing but i think it will have to shrink in order to attempt to infect anyone else now..... if it even can shrink, leading to its demise and the freeing of the eldians from the paths alowing them to rest in peace and somehow reincarnate ymir..... which is a bit of a stretch imo but the child could just be named in honor of her or the other ymir and just before the worm thing is killed we see a happy eren in the paths and then give it a hundred years theyll be useing tanks etc to wage war anyway, then whats left of the worm thing leaves the planet thinking fuck this i aint ready for nukes lol

One connection supporting the Mikasa theory is when she tells Armin in the beginning of the series that he has saved her and Eren many times. Armin is confused because he’s always being saved by them, but this could imply that mikasa has already seen him do it in the multiple realities. Isayama sure isn't afraid to step on our souls and heart strings and it is that risky not playing it safe type of writing that made this series such a hit.

so i wonder if the butterfly dream could also be interpreted the butterfly effect in mikasa’s case, where in a timeline where even just a single butterfly dies it could change the entire future. maybe that’s what her headaches really are the “effect” of making a different choice flooding her mind with all the different paths. i know the butterfly dream is a different philosophy, but it’s still cool to think of
@MangaHorse3 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, You can also apply the butterfly effect as small changed in one place that leads to bigger ones across time in a different place For example, Ymir frees some pigs And 2000 years later there is a major world conflict that leads to where we are today (with a lot of events in between of course) This video was more philosophical, but I will talk about science in my next one 😊

@-MrTwister-3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this madman Isayama put so many little details in his work, it's really amazing. In chapter 123 it's clear that Eren doesn't hate Mikasa, that he is so fucking sad because of the future events, because of how much pain he gonna deal to his friends, because he knows that this boy gonna die from the rumbling. And even if Eren doesn't love Mikasa as much as she loves him, then at least he cares about her. But after his question "What am I to you?" they are interrupted by other guys and he says an insanely important phrase that Mikasa doesn't understand, he says "Perfect timing". But why? Because he somehow knows (through "paths"? Ymir? connection to Mikasa's unique combined bloodline of two noble clans?) that this is the moment where her "false memory" ("long dream") from chapter 138 took a different route in the future events. This is why he cries in first chapter, because of their imposible future together, but he couldn't figure it out at that moment. I hope Isayama will clarify in chapter 139 how or why their connection between Mikasa's "false memories" ("long dream") and Eren's "real memories" happened. And I also hope that my crazy theory that I have about her combined bloodline and headaches is somewhat correct. This mad genius Isayama created very fucking sad love story about separation of two people, at least from Mikasa's point of view. It's weird as hell of how I feel so broken and satisfied at the same time because of Mikasa's great character development. I think this is one of the saddest and best love stories. Isayama really know how to "torture" people. In a good way of course, in a way of a great writer. And I think AoT definitely doesn't have different timelines, timeloops or universes. Maybe it's just about Mikasa's unique combined bloodline. And I have a crazy theory about it. If you want I can explain.
@Bolypius3 жыл бұрын
Pls explain
@-MrTwister-3 жыл бұрын
@@Bolypius This is only my interpretation and I can be wrong, but I think and hope that it's somewhat correct. This will be long, but I will try to connect all clues which Isayama left. So first of all I found something important. In early chapters of manga Isayama point out that Mikasa have headaches, espesially in chapter 5 after situation with a cart. But what's important in this moment is that we have a girl, which saluted to Mikasa after her help. And because of that Mikasa feels headache and asking herself why I remember it now (memory about parents, we will back to this later). So who this girl and why Mikasa have a headache? This is a girl from chapter 109 (!!!) which Mikasa put behind bars. And what happend next? They are talked about Eren and girl saluted to Mikasa again and... because of that Mikasa feel headache again and she saw "Tatakae!" moment! BUT WHY!? Where is a connection to trigger of this headache? It is chapter 126 when Mikasa take back her scarf from that girl and she told Mikasa very important thing about conversation with Eren about her. Eren wanted this girl to THROW THIS SCARF AWAY (and this is not because he hate Mikasa, we know that this is MASSIVE bullshit). What it remind you? Yes, chapter 138 and Mikasa's "long dream" in which Eren says to her "THROW THE SCARF AWAY... And be free... Forget about me..." and then "dream" ends. But Mikasa deny to forget him and put her scarf on (damn, this moment hit me hard and then this kiss... damn, this madman Isayama) and says that Eren is in the mouth (!!!). But HOW she know this? So, what I'm trying to say with that? We have something like this: Headaches through chapter 5 --> chapter 109 --> chapter 126 --> chapter 138 = chapter 5 --> chapter 138 = memories of the future (!!!) or it can be reversed like world map in AoT, 138 --> 5 (Mikasa's headache about parents). So like this we are back to chapter 5. And, unlike anime, what we have there? Mikasa have a conversation with her ASIAN mom about the mark under the bandages (!!!) and also about having a child (hmm... last frame of manga will be with child too, hmm...). So why this mark was established so early in the plot? Only to make Mikasa somekind of princess? NO WAY! This is pointless for future events, especially after genocide. It's all because this mark is important for another thing (!!!) what takes us to chapter 107 about Hizuru, Azumabito and all this stuff 100 years ago BEFORE WALLS. But why this is so important? Why shogun was in good relationship with Fritz? Maybe because this is a plot twist for chapter 139 or maybe it's not, but I have an idea about it, which takes us to another chapters - 65 and 63! So, chapter 63 has a conversation between Levi and Mikasa about Kenny's and their powers awakening (and this is has nothing to do with the Ackermans "hosts", this is just a lie invented by Eren, if read the manga carefully, it becomes clear). So what about their ability of "knowing what to do next"? It's like spider-sense, right? But HOW? Experiments with titans abilities (!!!) (we know this from Zeke's conv with Eren). But most important chapter in all of this is chapter 65, which called "Dreams and Curses" by the way (damn... that's brilliant, you are a madman Isayama). And what we have there? Kenny's grandpa said very important thing about several noble bloodline clans - "The MEMORIES of people from these MINORITY BLOODLINES were NOT affected by the KING" (!!!). While most of the bloodlines obeyed, who turned their back on Fritz? Right! Only TWO, the ASIAN clan and Ackermans. But why did the good relationship with the Hizuru shogun turn against Fritz? And why was it necessary to get rid of the Ackermans family guard? Because he can't CONTROL their memories. But WHY he can't? Is it all starting to make sense? So, here a crazy thing begins, get ready. Which titans abilities most powerful and intersect with this story? It's "memories of the future" of the Attack titan and "memory manipulation" of the Founding titan! So, think about it like this, what if... Ackermans = experiments with abilities of the Attack titan --> they "know what to do next" or have something like spider-sense; Asians (or, more likely, only royal branch of them) = experiments with abilities of the Founding (!!!) titan --> ability to create memories or by another words "dreams" (!!!). And this is where Mikasa becomes very important to the plot! Why? Because she is a combination of this "powers", she's an Ackerman and asian at the same time. This is HOW Isayama made her so special and crucial to the plot. So maybe this is how she creates this "dreams" by her Founding titan connection and have this headaches because of the Attack titan. What I mean is that no matter how hard she trying to escape from reality by creating this "dreams" she knows that Eren is gonna DIE and because of it even in "false memories" she can't save him. And also this means: Eren (The Attack titan and the Founding titan) Ymir and her "paths", CURSE of Ymir, Mikasa's "long DREAM" (chapter 1 for Eren = chapter 318 for Mikasa) Mikasa (abilities of this titans) = title of chapter 65 "Dreams and Curses" (!!!). I hope this all makes sense. DAMN, this madman Isayama are fucking great writer. Put so many details into his work just to tell an insanely sad love story of the separation between two people who are not able to be together because of the cruel world and their fate. "This is a cruel world, and yet so beautiful... I'm sorry, Eren, I can't give up. If I die now, I won't even be able to remember you." (Mikasa Ackerman) Isayama, you are a genius madman, you can finally open your goddamn sauna, because now you have an ocean of tears to do it. Fuck, this definitely feels cruel... but yet so beautiful.

@@Ericmatcha After chapter 138 I felt uneasy and spent days racking my brains trying to figure out what I had missed. And then bam, I remembered Lost Girls part, I began to search and analyze, along the way remembering moments with Mikasa, as if I was following a path of bread crumbs. And at some point, this all came together in my head and I felt such satisfaction that I probably realized what Isayama did with Mikasa's character. If chapter 139 or Isayama himself later does not clarify the situation with Mikasa, then this will be my personal interpretation of what happened. After all, this was the first character he came up with. It is also interesting that she is drawn first at the very beginning of the manga and on page 13. I could not resist after episode 5 of the first season and started reading the manga from the very beginning. And that frame on page 13 made it clear to me that it might be more Mikasa's story than Eren's to some extent, that it would be VERY important. And I was even a little upset that this dream moment was not included in the anime. But on the other hand, this is even good, it will be interesting to see the reaction of people, their understanding of what happened. I hope that MAPPA will do everything right and beautifully in the last episode, that they will perfectly edit the moment from chapter 318, somehow linking it with the very first episode, then after "Why are you crying?" (chapter 1) episode will rewind everything from that scene to a moment with a kiss and make only anime audience blow their heads off.

Oh I loved erased, I just wish it was a bit longer And yes you are right to be confused about the scene in the anime because it was extremely random But in the manga we can clearly see it 4 times, and each time her mom gets worse and Grisha and Eren need to come more often The last time it is so bad that Grisha tell her she needs yo move next to him, that happened “surprisingly” after Eren stopped visiting her And that was the only time shown in the anime, so anime watchers had no reference to compare it too

It was beyond worth waiting one week for your release and listen to the entire thing. The possibility of multiple parallel realities existing one beside another, or them being in a cycle of existence is beyond mindblowing. Not to mention that our "free will" is also not so free as we'd like to think. It's more like biologically and sociologically causal will that gives the illusion of being free. If that's the case all efforts of having free will and "being free" are in a sense futile. But regardless of Zeke's argument on what LIFE is, all we can do is what Armin told back to Zeke. Enjoy the moments we have and live as mindfully as possible. One question: How does Mikasa's ability to remember previous realities come together with Ymir calling the supernatural shots? Can Ymir transcend not only time but realities as well? ! chapter to wrap everything up. I can't wait, but also I'm enjoying having to wait. It's the last time we wait.

Never thought ED1 would be important. 138 is probably my favorite chapter, especially as an Eremika shipper lol even read it 4 times. I do believe in the alternate multiverse theory. Isayama did say the ending would bitter sweet. My guess is the rest of the world is doomed, not really buying the "Ymir will turn everyone back to normal" theory. Feels to safe for Isayama style. I think the world is doomed and Mikasa's kiss will transport her and everyone to the universe where Hange and the rest of the deceased scouts are. I'd like to believe Isayama will probably explore in the last chapter multiverse with Goth Mikasa, and possibly Junior High.

I thought of the same theory and agree completely with you. I think this should be canon but chapter 139 man....
@metlevser86583 жыл бұрын
I don't think those memories are from another reality because; If Eren and Mikasa would run away at that night; Eren would never be at the War of Shiganshina and never meet with Zeke to reach for the Paths. If Eren wouldn't go to the paths; He would never manipulated his father aka Grisha and Grisha wouldn't get the Founding Titan power from Frieda Reiss. Everything would be different if Eren and Mikasa would run from the Paradis group at that night. It's the just ideal of Mikasa and Eren saw this from by Paths or Founding Titan ability.

I completely understand what you are saying, and I am going to address this super confusing issue in my next video But i will just say there is a scientific explanation that will explain this, but it is a very complicated one, so I’m trying to figure out how to explain it and still make it interesting for everyone to watch 😊
@berenice90003 жыл бұрын
I had this concern too, but I might have found an idea that solves it. I don’t know the physics of it, or if there’s a term for it. But essentially, there’s only one reality. There will always be a version of Eren that goes to the paths. You’re pointing out the paradox, but it’s actually this paradox that makes it plausible for Eren to still get powers. A paradox has no beginning or end, it’s a circle/ cycle. It has to happen for the story to work. Regardless of which version of Eren we’re watching, there’s always a version of him that gets to Zeke. It just so happens that we got to see that version of Eren throughout the series. It’s hard to understand, but just don’t try to put time in a linear position. The past, present, and future are happening at the same time. Different realities are happening at the same time. While a version is living with Mikasa, a different version is fighting her.
@MangaHorse3 жыл бұрын
That is pretty much correct, and I will explain the physics as simple as I can in my upcoming video 😊
@metlevser86583 жыл бұрын
@@berenice9000 I understood what you said but I don't think that's possible because there is only one chapter left and adequate preparation has not been made by Isayama. If he wanted to take things that way, he would have announced Mikasa's dream at least 5-6 chapters before and prepared the finale accordingly. But he waited to draw till one chapter before final chapter and that means he didn't decide to end whole series from this way and he is not going to mention it more. Also, when Chapter 138's drafts published, we clearly saw the sentences that wrotten by Isayama that describes what is going to be drawn in those Eremika panels. He was telling that what happened would draw Mikasa as her 'ideal'. That means, those things that we saw between Eren and Mikasa are just Mikasa's imagination from what happens if she would confess her feelings to Eren before. On the other hand, even if we think things will not happen from that way, he may even attribute it to Ackerman bond, because he has already touched on this issue on OVA's. Did you read the Blue Butterfly theory about Mikasa? I think most meaningful theory is that because; It's a symbolic thing in Japanese culture and it describes "If you cannot tell if you are dreaming, you cannot understand what is real because you will not be sure of reality," It's much meaningful than the theory about other realities, I think.
@berenice90003 жыл бұрын
@@metlevser8658 you could be correct, but I still see it as a possibility. All he’d have to do is outright show different versions of these two characters and explain how they got to this point. He never actually says “this is a paradox,” we have to figure that stuff out with our own critical thinking. I’m not so sure he’d be the type to wrap up an epilogue and show Paradis’ college years lol. He could spend majority of the last chapter focused on how it started. I feel like Eren’s perspective unlocks a lot of answers . And the Ackerman thing that you mentioned, would also need more focus attached to it if it were true, so your idea is on the same boat. Can it be covered in one chapter? If it’s a dream, how does Mikasa have access? Why did she get the headaches beforehand?

I think that the pannels are slanded because it shows the mental state of that time like holds tension,pain,..etc And in other with normal shows having calm,loving,..etc Also I'm afraid that if the ending of AOT will be like starting from the beginning and then looping though different possibilities.Btw your theories are far beyond genious.

Mikasa can experience these alternate timelines because the Founding Titan doesn't affect her memories, no matter how many times Eren resets it. Which makes me think, does Eren finally realize he has to die in order for the time loop to end? What timeline is the current AoT taking place in? Is this the true timeline? How many times did everyone have to die in order to get to this moment? What has Eren truly seen. I have a feeling that there will be no happy ending. Also, what the hell is that centipede creature!? Please. I need an answer already! 😳
@MangaHorse3 жыл бұрын
I think the most important question you raised is what is the true reality, or origin world If some sort of catastrophe happened once that made this all situation, then it must have originated from something About Eren’s death, I actually believe he died many times, in other realities, and our Mikasa just remembered this at the end, and probably been remembering this over and over many times
