The Pakistan Experience

The Pakistan Experience

Күн бұрын

Last week Syed Muzamil Hasan Zaidi of Thought Behind Things came on The Pakistan Experience ( • Defending PTI, Digital... ) and the podcast has ignited a fiery social media debate.
Reluctantly, I have made this video addressing all the controversies surrounding the podcast. It was unrehearsed and unscripted so I forgot to mention that the screenshot is not from a private group chat, it is from the TBT group.
I hope this puts all the matters and debates to rest and we can all move on.
Did I do a podcast to settle scores?
Did I put off the record things in the podcast?
Did I say post an out-of-context clip?
Here is a TPE daily update addressing all of that.
The Pakistan Experience is an independently produced podcast looking to tell stories about Pakistan through conversations.

I respect that you were here took interest in the topic but trust me with this the real issues with Pakistan these guys are not even close these are just 2 crying little bitches. And real issues with Pakistan are far worse than what you have in Nepal as I have seen and worked with Nepalese the type of upbringing with self-righteousness and selflessness as your base morals no matter the financial situation, understanding the fact that no work is small and hand earned money is way better than asking people for money and hustling people out of their money makes an average Nepali far superior than an average Pakistani. These are morals we need to learn not these rich attention seeking whores crying about their personal problems on podcasts to make money out of it.

I want to put it into words for you, but I can't, the words won't be enough. So I'll just say that your podcast has made me a better human. It has transformed my thought process, my perspective towards life, towards people and a lot more. What's currently happening is a lot for you, for any human to take in. People are sick minded and they feel joy and pleasure while humiliating others. i think you should also discuss the topic that why whenever some male has to humiliate the ther man,he starts abusing the mother, daughter of the person. Who put all your dignity and honour on the shoulders of your mother or daughter or sister.why do a man abuse or misbehave the other man directly,by not involving the so called honour of your women. I being a female wont abuse the other women by abusing her father or brother or son. This is hypocrative society. We just shut the f*** off by naming or calling bad words to the women. I alwsys wonder what the hell your mother or sister has done anything related to the your fight..what..can somebody justify this

The least we can do it is to debate over an issue and most of the time, issue will get resolved through dialogue - trust me 99% of people don't have guts to confront a person face to face. I've been a fan of the podcast since back in the day, you are right about Muzammil's clip from another podcast going viral had nothing to do with you. And I think you took these trolls a bit too seriously, they are fans of a podcast that plays safe with controversial topics and this podcast was justifiably something uncomfortable for such an audience because the original fans of this podcast come here for what we dont find on TBT, Junaid Akram, Mooroo etc. Don't take such trolls seriously, most of them are probably charged up teenagers misguided by disco molvis like Raja Zia ul Haq etc. I was the same way when I was young, they will learn to be more accepting of other sides with time.

If that out-of-context clip made you bad, muzamil won't be a nationwide meme after that ( that same clip got viral, saw it on hundereds of fb pages and groups) . The main takeaway from the podcast, which i watched it full, was that "Personal group chat message" I feel like things got pretty bad there and there is no denying that you once had a grudge, which you hold for some time for a day to bash him on camera. It was very clear there was no need to manipulate more. I like it that in this video you were accepting most of the things which clearly shows you messed it up in the podcast. But in no ways any abuse or roasting or attacking should be considered as an option. Muzamil himself put a full stop on the fb group so it should and must be wrapped. Also, ghias bhai please please please not even look at those msgs. Those people are istg lifeless jobless guys got no education or morals or nothing. Apni frustrations nikalte hae you don't even have to like to acknowledge them even. Family ko laye kisi ko bhi laye wo unka amal hae just pass it off. Just focus on constructive criticism that's it minus all this absurd negativity out.

However, as the discourse progressed I felt that you asked all the right questions and didn't let up easily while simultaneously being very respectful which is quite impressive to pull off. brother - i can tell you it is a relief to see youth open to questioning everything - which is awesome. however, I have observed you of being guilty of giving into your ego and being ridiculously mean too with Muzamil and Bilal L. forget about letting criticism effect you, you're only screwed if you let negative criticism stop you from checking your own ego. Absolutely keep doing what you're doing and understand all our egos are protecting our historical baggage. You have the energy of youth which is great. it was exhilarating to watch you help Muzamil realize he was being an a-hole to you. as an older "audience" (52, male, bottom end of the 1 percent elite ) of yours, i am extremely hopeful with the youth of this country. any adult/youth who shies away from accountability to another adult/youth does as much disservice as he does when he is not "receptive" to listening. we should all carry the maturity to assess which statements need to be ignored. apologies for the length. wish you all the best kiddos (subscribed to u and Muzamil and loved Bilal as well)

When I saw the whole podcast, I realized that the 5 minute clip was completely portrayed out of context. I am a big fan of TBT and TPE equally and I listen to both channels regularly. Absolutley agree with you that every podcast has their own unique setup and thats exactly what their UPC is. So the uncle upped the ante "Younis Khan BC" and for the next five minutes he kept on yelling and upping the ante further and further. Younis didnt turn around. Younis's name with various family members involved, was yelled at full throttle. Men, women, children none were spared. Younis didn't turn around. After 5 minutes my ears were turning red so I turned to him and said "Kia ho gaya chacha, kia cha rahay ho ?" and he went "Yaar Younis ghoom kay dekh nahee raha". And then he STFU and went back to his chair. Younis never turned around. And that my friend is what online world is like, 99.99% of the time the attention you will get is negative. In this case only thing that matters is what you thought and what Muzammil thought. Rest of our opinions are just noise bro. I hope you take good care of yourself man. You walk with a bullseye on your back because your opinions goes against the grain. People like that get punished in all societies and more so in ours. So majority of the people will take shots at you because its easy to do online. Only thing you control is how much attention and time you give to that negativity. The more you engage the more it will eat at you. It will just grow and fester inside you. Till it changes you for the worst. The only thing you control is how much attention and time you give it. The less you pay attention less it will matter. I know its easier said then done. But life is hard man the older you grow the harder it will get. Please use your time and attention judicially. You dont get them back and they are available in limited supply.

I’m relatively new to The Pakistan Experience and truth be told I did watch the said podcast in full after watching the ‘viral clip’. I don’t think there was anything wrong with your line of questioning. Its a little sad to see that the content of the clip was the only takeaway from an overall intellectually stimulating conversation. I’m sure it was more uncomfortable for you both to sit through it than for the audience to listen. More power to you! I hope it brought you some closure and we get to see you both together again with another interesting conversation.

Yar this feels both needless and much-needed at the same time. Needless because anybody who even criticizes you for the wrong stuff is not worth clarifying to, and much-needed because it highlights the toxic nature of the desi community at large, and the visible effect is has on a person. Kinda leaning towards the latter, the more I think about it:) More importantly, much love, support, e-hugs, and prayers! Takes a big person to address and appreciate the legit criticism. Hope the ones who love outnumber the ones who hate to a point where they become negligible.😘😘😘

Man ( the real man)- continue doing what you are doing. Sailing against the wave and questioning is always courageous. Being bias against the establishment and the power is better than being a blind follower of the power. We face the same here in India and these are the times we are living in- hyper nationalism, radicalism, hatred, etc. So don't defend even what you believe in and continue doing the good work. I recently started following your podcast and fell in love with the format and the style.

It will take Pakistanis a while to learn about ethics. Our definitions are very different but sad to see the concept of disagreement but still being respectful is a long way for us Pakistanis.

Harry felt in the pocket of his robes and pulled out a Chocolate Frog, the very last one from the box Hermione had given him for Christmas. He gave it to Neville, who looked as though he might cry. “You’re worth twelve of Malfoy,” Harry said. And you’re worth twelve of every single stinking hater who thinks the way to attack a perspective is to have it disappear through vitriol and raids and campaigns. There is a vast difference in the breed of followers you’ve cultivated vs others and you should be proud of your tremendous achievements. You’re a friggin STAR bro. Haters aren’t worth 2 seconds of your time.

This is probably my first ever comment on KZbin. I do disagree at times with your views. But you are one of the finest content creators around. It hurts me to the core seeing you in such pain. But Shehzad bhai don't be bothered with these so called keyboard warriors. You are an asset for us and that is what you should be proud to. Thank you

Again, I may not be of the same views as you, but after listening to your podcasts, I reiterate that these are the kind of discourse that our country needs to grow out of it immaturities. Keep on creating these kind of contents man. I am slowly becoming a fan of yours. It hurts me to agree to it, but I have grown to like your discussions. Also, stop reading all comments. Being a celebrity comes with some side effects and drawbacks and trolls are the number one on that list.
