A prayer inspired by the story of Jephthah and his daughter, for you to join in on: Jephthah’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to win this battle that I’m currently facing. Remind me every step of the way that YOU have gone ahead of me and assured my victory. Tell me what sacrifices and acts of obedience need to be made, in order for YOUR SPIRIT to move upon YOUR word in my situation. Give me the strength and the comfort that I need in order to part with my plans and purposes as I move forward in accordance with YOUR plans and purposes alone. Help me surrender to YOUR will and righteously die to the flesh so that YOUR sovereignty can be on full display through me and my life. In JESUS name, amen. Spend time with HIM on these questions, and receive HIS answers: • Heavenly Father, what act of obedience is required in order for me to walk in the victory that YOU have already guaranteed? In JESUS name, amen. • Heavenly Father, what area of my life needs to be consecrated over to YOU more and what sacrifice or act of obedience would bring in more dedication to YOU in my life? In JESUS name, amen. • Heavenly Father, how do I walk in more consecration and dedication so that I can fulfill the role that YOU’VE given me in this time and season? In JESUS name, amen. • Heavenly Father, how do I win the current battle that I’m dealing with and what lessons are YOU wanting me to learn as I go through it? In JESUS name, amen. • Heavenly Father, where have I been lacking YOUR counsel and need to be filled up by YOUR wisdom and comfort as I get through this difficult time? In JESUS name, amen.
